"I went here to get new shoes for my boyfriend and I, and while I was I was looking for shoes, I found these nikes that were on sale $69.99. The shoes were put on there by someone from the academy staff because I had to ask the worker to cut them loose so I could take them. When I double checked the price at the scanner the came out being $80. I went to the worker to ask if I could speak to a manager and the lady was like “FOR WHAT”. She was so rude and never got me the manager. How could y’all mess up that bad by putting another shoe on the rack for a shoe that doesn’t exist and then when I asked to speak to a manager I was denied. Y’all need some help."

"I don’t usually go into sport stores but my brother buys a lot of items from here, and i wanted to get him a gift from christmas. The Manager named BJ was very rude when assisting me, i felt very belittled engaging in a conversation with him. I ended up walking away and asked another employee named Dillion who was absolutely helpful and a good listener!!!!"

"This Academy Sporting Goods is at Loop 410 about a mile east of I-10, just behind Discount Tire but easy to spot and park. It's a little smaller than a couple of Academies to the east and northeast, but it still has plenty of merchandise. My mission was to find a long-sleeved men's cold weather training shirt to wear underneath my NFL J.J. Watt #99 football jersey at the Houston Texans game next week. I wanted a shirt that is light and breathable in case Houston's fall weather is mild on game day. I first checked at a nationally known sporting goods store closer to home. I didn't see a white or navy blue shirt to go with the jersey, and available long-sleeved training shirts were $44. Academy had a pretty good selection of name-brand cold weather shirts. But because I'm wearing it under a football jersey, I don't care whether the shirt has a "swoosh" or inverted U's or not. Academy had the BCG brand of cold weather training shirt for $24. I'm happy with it, and I think it will last for years."
