"Absolutely one of the most professional black owned businesses in the Houston market. I went to this store for the very fist time about a month ago and just so happen to encounter the owner not only did she have the product I needed she was just a motivation and inspiration. I will continue to shop here although it’s a distance from me I am happy to drive because of the service I receive."

"i was an employee here and was treated HORRIBLE by the owner. i was never shown any appreciation and seemed that the owner had some tension towards me and other younger women. she’s great to customers that are men and older women but otherwise horrible to everyone else especially the employees which is why she’s had over 16+ and majority have quit. i loved working here ONLY for the customers. i would not work nor shop here due to the fact the owner is a hypocrite. as soon as i quit she went to social media like a child to talk about me and that is not professional whatsoever especially for her age and once i tried to speak with her about this she then threatened to call the police like she has done before with a past employee. being that i was one of the people that held her store down when she couldn’t i just had to come and make this review so y’all know who you are shopping with. she’ll put on the fake smile and act when your in store but is a horrible person behind the scenes."

"I am a frequent customer of touch of essence and the owner is always kind funny caring of her customers and even allows my kids to come in and help me pick out products. I never mind paying the price because the other beauty supply that aren't black owned charge more and don't care about their customers. I will continue to patron this business. Check out a few pics from hair I've purchased from the beauty supply the owner is always on point and her staff is always welcome and willing to help."
