"My go to store for outdoor stuff! I naturally gravitate towards the ammo and gun stuff! While my gal and her daughter , shop around! After we decided to go! This was going on in the parking lots? It’s a leap year, is a manifesting moon out and the total solar eclipse of the Sun on Monday April 8 . The birds were going crazy! Video !"

"BEWARE! Had a nightmare experience purchasing a firearm at this location. I used the online order pick up method to purchase one as a first time buyer and as I was awaiting my turn in line at the fire arm department, the store director, Christine, called me up to the counter and started INTERROGATING me about the gun I was purchasing. She first asked, “What’s the gun you’re picking up?” I figured she needed my order number and information to show proof of purchase like you do at ANY other location like CVS, Target, etc. so I showed her my online order receipt on my phone and she goes, “You don’t even know what gun you’re buying?” in a very confronting manner and then proceeded to ask me “Is this gun for you?” and “Have you ever shot this gun before?” and basically ACCUSED me of purchasing a fire arm for somebody else all while causing a scene in front of other customers! It was a very embarrassing and upsetting moment that I did not have to undergo as a rightful U.S citizen! Don’t ever buy from Academy Sports + Outdoors!!! They will treat you like a criminal and discriminate you, especially as a first time buyer! Dear, Academy Sports + Outdoors, if your store employees are going to be discriminating anybody who uses the online order option to purchase fire arms, I suggest it would be in your company’s best interest to remove the option from your website before a lawsuit arises."

"Store pick up is supposed to be more convenient. But last 2 times I've used it. It would have been faster for me to go grab the stuff and wait on line. As opposed to standing at the store pick up counter and hopping someone shows up to help."

"Came into academy this Cold morning for a quick purchase and (Carlos) open the store up a little late even though they had a few of us out there lined up and then the few of us were elders and Carlos did not really seem to care ,he even laughed when customers entered the store about him knowing we were lined up and they opened late. Then I was ready to check out on our number for and another employee (JEZ) male - had a attitude for no reason and gave some customers an awkward look as if he wanted to do something , Overall it would be nice if this location could improve on their customer service and hospitality. I will be doing a consumer report on the lack of training the workers have with the distasteful customer service as well . I'll be back to see if anything changes ."
