"DO NOT EAT HERE First off their drive thru speaker doesn’t work that was the first red flag. Secondly no one else was inside eating or in the drive thru because this place is old and dirty. I ordered 4 tenders and mash potatoes and a drink. I’m not joking when I say these tenders were the smallest tenders I’ve ever seen. They are literally so skinny and half the size of a normal tender anywhere else, and on top of that you could tell they were using old grease. The mashed potatoes tasted sour and cold. This was the worst food experience I’ve ever had please don’t ever eat here I spent $11 and I was still hungry."

"Chicken isn't very good. Tastes like they don't clean the grease often enough. Gizzards are ok & I like the fried okra the best."

"By far the worst Hartz I been to. No food on buffet line, the cold slaw was turning brown, meat balls were very salty. And the soda was flat. Best thing on buffet line we're the jalapeno that come out the can."

"The buffet has little food on the line when I arrived. Asked for tenders and rolls and got an attitude from the Asian person in charge. The mashed potatoes looked like they were going back to being dehydrated, they were so old. The coleslaw was starting to look gray from being served and re-served. The food is basically tasteless and everything just seems to be getting worse. I will NOT return."

"This is a hidden gem. I eat here a lot. Unexpectedly, not just a fried-chicken place. They have a surprising all-you-can-eat buffet that is really tasty and not expensive. It's the typical, down-home Texas lunch I grew up on, and there's something for everyone. To name a few, there's grilled chicken, fried chicken, fried catfish, meatballs, fried gizzards, potato salad, beans, collard greens, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, okra, fruit, and outstanding fresh-baked homemade dinner rolls. They have fresh-cooked banana pudding and other dessert specialties on the menu, too. My favorites always include the grilled chicken, and they have fried gizzards (no, they're not oysters), too; I love the collard greens with Louisiana hot sauce; the kidney beans; the mustardy potato salad with jalapenos; and some of their delicious fresh-baked dinner rolls, almost as good as my sister's. I usually have some home-made banana pudding for dessert. True, the building is old, and it doesn't look like much from the outside (they're busy fixing it up), but it's clean and well-kept. The bathrooms sparkle. The staff are friendly and bilingual, and they are prompt and courteous. There is a drive-through, too, if you're in a hurry. This is nothing but good ol' Southern home-style cooking, and if you're looking to fill up on some down-to-earth, plain but delicious food for very little money, this is the place."
