"My wife and daughter each bought a pair of HOKA's from REI. The tread started to separate on both pairs shoes. REI states on their website that if there is a defect with the shoes they can be returned within a year. I took the shoes into the Southlake REI store and the manager would not honor their policy. She questioned me about where the shoes were stored while they weren't being used. Insinuating that if they were left in a garage that the Texas heat would cause the tread glue to release. The shoes WERE NOT STORED in a garage and they were both stored in closets in two different cities. They were not excessively worn and were not used as running shoes (only walking). VERY DISAPPOINTING when the shoes cost $146.00 per pair. Don't have a warranty if your not going to honor it and blame the consumer. Poor customer service."

""August" was super helpful with my specific requests for an upcoming trip. I went back a 2nd time and he remembered me and helped me again. The store is clean, organized, well stocked and checkout staff was very kind and helpful...and even adjusted my total with a couple I forgot about! Great quality clothing for my upcoming cold trip!!"

They took the time to understand my specific needs and provided excellent recommendations for products that would suit my style. They even shared their own personal experiences and gave me valuable tips for my upcoming trip. The store itself is well organized and stocked with high-quality gear from top brands. They have everything you could possibly need for camping, hiking, and other outdoor activities. I appreciate that they offer a wide range of options for all budgets, so everyone can find something that works for them. I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for top-quality outdoor gear and a great shopping experience."

"As soon as you walk into REI you're greeted with helpful, happy, and heartfelt employees ready to assist you in any way possible. That's not the only thing you're greeted with though. When you step into REI you're transported into a wilderness of high quality products for any of your out door needs. However there is one flaw, and that is that it was understaffed, so help was not always available. I would definitely recommend to friends and family though."

Special thank you to Tom for making sure I didn't leave with the pack I grabbed. He made sure I had a much better one that I wound up liking much better and a full tutorial for how it fits and works.
