"Normally don't have any issues with A&B but in this case they really dropped the ball. Charged me $500 for a door switch that cost $24.99 online. I called and got a crazy explanation, which changed several times. Just a phone call to me before they got this item would have solved the whole thing (because I wouldn't have authorized the part or work). Probably looking for a new place to take the cars."

"This place failed to carry the state required Garage Keepers Liability on his business which led to him failing to be able to repair my vehicle that was totaled in his possession. I had the car towed to the shop on Thursday, September 21st about 7pm and followed up the following morning on Friday, September 22nd at about 9:30 AM to check the diagnostic status. I was told that the car would need a tune up such as spark plugs and such and that repair time was contingent upon when they were able to receive the parts. I didn’t hear back from the repair shop on Friday so I waited to hear back on the next business day, which would have been Monday, September 25th and the hail storm happened Sunday night on September 24th about 8pm. There is no way either party could have known that there would be a hail storm on Sunday night. I contacted the repair shop first thing Monday morning and was told that they were still assessing damage but not to worry and that it would be covered under their insurance. However, when I arrived that same day to see the vehicle for myself, I was told by the technician that the owner doesn’t carry liability insurance. There was a hail storm and he failed to cover the vehicles under his insurance. He has been so rude and nasty toward me, screaming in the phone that it was my problem. I have not heard from this man since he told me that he wouldn’t cover the damage to my car. This car is not financed and it’s 100% paid off, so I only carry liability as required by law. He turned my $500 tune up into a $15k dollar problem and couldn’t care less. I’m so heartbroken to encounter this level of negligence and unaccountability. He is a WOLF in sheep’s clothing.. shame on him. I suspect if I had been another color this would’ve been a different outcome.. sigh Update: I read his reply but riddle me this, I don’t understand how someone who has a car towed to a repair technician with the expectation to have a tune up, would expect to receive something for nothing? How could I have known that there would be a storm? Why would I put myself in a situation to not have a vehicle? At no point have I ever asked for anything free or discounted, I am a nurse and can full well afford to pay for basic car repairs. I CANNOT, however, pay for $10k+ worth of damage that was a direct cause of this man’s negligence."
