"My daughter had Uptown look at a refrigerator in a rent house she owns in Houston. She lives in San Antonio so she needed a trustworthy service company she could trust. Uptown did an inspection and sent her a quote for $850 ($630 parts and $220 labor). Service tech said water frozen on the bottom of freezer compartment and water leaking out on floor was due to a bad Thermistor. Also needed filter change on water filter system. She called me and ask what I thought. I said sounds to me like the water was not draining during the defrost cycle. I offered to drive to Houston and see what I could do. So I drove to Houston from San Antonio, thawed out the frozen ice in bottom and accessed the drain pan. Sure enough, drain line was plugged so water wasn’t able to drain during defrost cycle. I also changed the $7 water filter (2 for $14) and drove back to San Antonio. Short story, I wouldn’t trust this technician with any appliance. Also, if he wasn’t smart enough to diagnose that simple fix, he should probably spend more time training, or consider another field of work."

The technician that arrived at my house, Pat, was very professional. He arrived on time, was cordial, respectful and well prepared to diagnose the machine. Within a short time, Pat was able to assess the problem and I had the refrigerator back to normal that afternoon. Overall I was pleased with the service and professionalism and I highly recommend Uptown and Pat for any appliance repairs."
