About the Business
Pacific Moon is a unique bar, food, and restaurant located at 15140 San Pedro Avenue in San Antonio, Texas. Here, you can enjoy delicious dishes such as beef and chicken cooked in house teriyaki sauce served over steamed rice topped with an omelette egg, or a 12 oz. sirloin grilled to your liking and served with Han’s special sauce.
Chef Han Olmstead, also known as Mama Han, started Pacific Moon in 1998 and has been joined by her daughter Marika Olmstead. Together, they have created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can enjoy great company, infused cocktails, and a unique style of cooking that combines Asian flavors with Mama Han's own twist.
Mama Han's passion for culinary arts began on Jeju Island in South Korea, where she experienced a variety of fresh produce and flavors. After meeting her husband, a United States Army soldier, and traveling the world, they settled in San Antonio where Mama Han's love for hosting parties and preparing unique dishes led to the opening of Pacific Moon.
At Pacific Moon, every dish is made with love and dedication to freshness. The inviting ambiance, Mama Han's presence in the kitchen, and the above and beyond service provided by the owners and staff make every visit to Pacific Moon an out of this world experience. "Loved this place until tonight, we had a super rude bartender at the end of our dinner. Not sure if she was rude because of all the shots of liquor that one of patrons sitting next to me and my wife bought her throughout the evening or if she is maybe is related to the owner cause sure doesn’t appear to care about repeat business. Don’t know her name but she was the thin bartender that I know who was talking about her birthday was in March. Wish her rudeness had come out before I left a 25% tip cause it would have been 0 dollars after her rude behavior with my wife and I. Definitely our last visit to Pacific Moon."

"Went with a friend to try the Mongolian burger (with runny egg added), but was blown away by the chili nachos....holy smokes is it excellent. I mean, really, REALLY delicious. Friendly staff all around, and reasonable pricing. The smell and look of the Asian dishes I saw looked great as well! Definite recommend"
"Good food and loved the portion sizes here. Lots of food and was able to take home left overs. Took my family in the afternoon, the service was good and kid friendly for my toddlers. Didn't wait long for the food to arrive and the environment had a nice vibe."
