"Had high hopes for a good old-fashioned order of fish and chips. Sadly, I'm still searching since this place let me down due to the thick greasy breading on the fish. The fries were the worst I've tasted in a long time. The hushpuppies were undercooked and too salty. The green beans had the taste boiled right out of them! Sorry Captain D's but even LJS beats you."

"I haven't eaten at Captain D's for over a decade ago. I passed by this location and had to stop and get some of my favorite shrimp and fish. It brought back some good eating memories. Loving it!! LOL..."

"I am shocked at how bad captain D’s has become. I got the three piece catfish, with fried okra and corn on the cob, and it was all really miserable. But the catfish was truly sad. I didn’t go there for side dishes. I went there to enjoy some fried fish, and the pieces were very small and thin, and nothing like what I remember this restaurant once was. The corn had a strange taste, the hush puppies were cold and hard. The okra was the best thing actually. I didn’t eat even half of my dinner, that cost almost $15. I won’t be going back unless maybe it’s to ask for a refund."

"Watch out, Long John's!! Captain D's has stepped it up. Check this out. Their fish taste better with less dough, they have garlic shrimp, jalapeno poppers, Mozzarella sticks, funnel cake stick just to name a few. The staff at this location rocks! They are polite and bring your food to you! I will follow up with another visit. So far so good!!! Good job Alma to you and your team!!"

"⚠️This location is not preparing their food correctly. Our food was handed to us below room temperature, stiff/hard and limp. So I asked could they remake it fresh to order, I was told by the very nice cashier Yas that the cook refused to fix our food correctly. I was also denied a refund.The pictures are what we DID NOT EAT! So I spent almost $40.00 for hardened, cold, dry fast food garbage and an apology for it being trash. For me that is completely inexcusable. People work too hard for their money for it to be wasted in such a manner. I was told this location was 30 years old. But I can assure you, if this type of service isn’t corrected they won’t withstand another year. This is the first time in history that I wished I went to McDonald’s instead. I hate McDonald’s but at least they’re consistently mediocre. But growing up eating Captain D’s, I just expected way better than this location provided. But I will say the cashier was polite, friendly and seemed remorseful. The cook however, was the issue. As a previous restaurant cook, I know the quality of that plate was poor. I know it was sitting under the light for over 30 minutes. Which is disappointing. That lets me know that cook has no pride in the overall food production and that is disappointing. I won’t be back and because of my experience I would advise anyone else looking for a quick meal to not visit this location . I would hate for you to waste your food as well. If your still reading this I would advise you to Go to McDonalds or get a Pizza. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Have a great day."
