The Home Depot

"Because of this place and every other Home Depot I have decided to get out of the home repair business. There's a young man with red hair and a beard that works the paint department. I always have to get the front end to call for help because he is never in the paint department. And when he gets there he does not offer any apologies or greetings. He is the last person you want for service. This has happened three times and yet the management will do nothing about it. Unfortunately every other Home Depot pretty much the same way. You win, I quit."

"For the first time in years I felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer at this store! The gentleman who assisted us in the paint department (Tim) was truly a pleasure! Tim is so knowledgeable and helpful! He also has such a wonderful demeanor and customer service skills! Even at checkout; our checkout person greeted us with a smile and was equally as pleasant! This by far has been the most pleasant expense in over 15 years!"

"It is a Home Depot like any other Home Depot. If you have been to one you have been to them all. That may sound bad but it is actually a compliment as the brand keeps its consistency. The only thing that was upsetting is that the brand and type of firelog I was looking for was not available so I had to go to the competitor down the road. Otherwise, this place is my go to."

"I went to purchase a couple 4’x8’ sheets of melamine today. If you’re not familiar with, melamine is pressboard with a slippery white veneer on both sides and quite heavy. My issues started when I needed some level of customer service. I stood at the Pro checkout line for about five minutes before attempting to ask one of the six employees standing around to help me utilize one of the six open checkout stations. I stood beside two girls having a conversation about some guy she keeps “hitting up” but apparently he won’t call her back. She looks at me, standing directly in front of her and carries on with the conversation without ever acknowledging me. I finally make contact with someone and get checked out. I ask for someone to help me hold the cart while I load these heavy sheets into my truck. “They’re on the way.” After another five minutes, I just push the cart out to my truck. Things that make loading these by myself difficult: windy, slippery sheets, very heavy, very large, and a cart that you cannot lock wheels to keep it stationary. So, ultimately I’m calling them out for 2 employees, seven feet away at another car helping a guy load 3” trim pieces into his truck while watching me and then walking back inside as I complete my task. Completely unbelievable. If the management doesn’t care, shame on them. If the management doesn’t know, they aren’t doing their jobs as managers."

"Delivered the supplies we needed and put it in the backyard so we didn't have to transport it very far. We used the materials to build a shed and we were able to get it delivered the next day. Love this Home Depot. The associates are always helpful and kind."
