"Used to eat there all the time, and when they had the specials, the place was packed. Stopped by recently for a chicken-fried steak and was not impressed. Meal is now $15, and tea is $3. Gravy looked like it was served with an eye-dropper. Last time I asked for more gravy, they wanted to charge me extra. Cornbread was so hard, I thought I was going to lose a tooth eating it. No wonder there were very few people dining. Makes the drive Benbrook Cafe worth it."

"Mac and cheese tasted like cheese wiz. Chicken fried steak was disappointing- tasted a bit rubbery. The green beans were fine. Desserts looked good but didn't try them so can't speak on them."

"I came in for breakfast and I'll admit, the omelette was decent, coffee was fresh, food was served quickly and the staff were pleasant. Nothing negative to report, whatsoever."

"I went to bed last night already thinking of breakfast. So, a quick search of nearby options and scrolling through reviews, I choose this restaurant. Walking in, it feels warm, like home, the people and staff definitely boosted that initial feeling. Big menu with lots of great options for breakfast. I ordered the Dixie Omelet with a ham slice, and a pancake. A cup of coffee and a glass of tea came quickly. It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and everything looked picture perfect. The Omelet was cooked perfectly and the ham was delicious. Then there was the pancake. I don't like drenching pancakes in syrup or any other toppings very often. I will typically tear a piece off taste the pancake itself. This one, was probably the best I've ever had. Fluffy yet had a light crust, the interior was extremely flavorful, and I finished it without every needing any condiments. Or utensils. Great breakfast!"
