"Love the lay out and location... after that's tho it's all down hill..matancanc takes forever to complete request. The flooring is beautiful but someone who doesn't care at all installed it and it coming up because they didn't place it correctly and left massive cracks between each piece. And the portal to payment is the most unuseful thing ever and charged 50$ to pay online and they won't take payments in person. The up keep is clearly lacking and any issues brought to their attention are always caused by something else never the true issue. We were told it was move in ready and to check the washer knob cuz it might not work and when it didn't was told to check that it was plugged in (it was) and that the breaker was on for it (it was) then after 2 weeks of it not getting looked at was told Maintenance was behind and would fix it after the holidays.... on something they knew was an issue the day we moved in. The apartment we got and the apartment we saw when we went to look at them were in 2 very different conditions... been very disappointed since we've moved in and if something doesn't change in management and maintenance will not renew lease"

"Just moved in and everything was made very simple, Island Club was great at communicating timely and helping me with any questions I had. Only thing is when I moved in my dryer is broke but I submitted a maintenance request so hopeful that will be fixed soon :)"

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!! The office staff is incompetent on their best days, they will over charge you for everything, and nothing ever gets fixed. We had to deal with squatters, bug infestations, and maintenance issues to include flooding and fires. They will also allow people to leave their dog dropping anywhere and everywhere. They instituted garbage pickup without contacting residence for $25 a month on top of exorbitant amount they charge for rent. They do not care at all about their residence. They also charge staff so quickly that you never know who is actually working there and the office staff do not return calls. If they do, it’s outside of their hours and you cannot call them back. If you want to live somewhere and be gaslit, have people who will try and rip you off, and squatters, then this is the trash heap for you! EDIT: They sent me to collections because THEY didn’t cash the money order we had to pay them for “damages” that were there when we moved in. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!"

"The office staff is always friendly, however, I have the following complaints about my apartment. 1) The kitchen. When the units were remodeled, some cabinet space was removed. That, on top of very little counter space makes it frustrating to cook and bake. I’m using the linen closet as a pantry, and still have to store a lot of my kitchen items in boxes. 2) Paint is peeling out of the corners in the bedrooms, and the floor is uneven in multiple spots. It feels as if the foundation is buckling in the living area by the sliding doors. 3) I am really disappointed we have to pay more for the valet trash service when the dumpsters are right around the corner, and I wish the dumpsters had sliding doors on the side so we can use two hands to lift heavier garbage. 4) All of the ponds need cleaned up and need some cosmetic work to make them more attractive. 5) The outdoor fitness equipment should have instructions for use; maybe they would get some use. 6) Island can’t do anything about the insane amount of dog poop outside, unless cameras are installed on the buildings, and 7) Island Club cannot do anything about my very noisy neighbors who come and go at all times of the night, yelling and slamming not only their door, but the door to the outside. I always take care to close my door and the outside door as quietly as possible if I am coming home late or taking my puppy out in the middle of the night. And finally, I ran out and purchased mini blinds when everyone in my unit had warnings to replace their broken mini-blinds or they would be replaced by staff at $50 each, yet many others still have not complied, including my next door neighbor."

"I’ve lived at Island Club for a total of about 3-4 years. Obviously I left four stars, because I do think there are some minor areas that could be improved. (A discount for longterm renters since there is no cleaning or floor/carpet replacement needed would be nice.) My only complaint would be my building doesn’t get sunshine in the front of it and there is ice out there most of the winter. On a positive note, this is the quietest apartment I’ve lived in. I have lived in a downstairs unit and an upstairs unit. I am impressed with the build and the “soundproof” floors. I’ve lived in other apartments throughout Fort Wayne and I would recommend these to anyone as the best place I’ve lived in. Honestly, I’m very happy in our little community."
