"Not far off the interstate, so it’s very easy to get to. I am a Hilton Honors member and was happy to discover that I received a free upgrade and, since I used the digital key feature, my room was ready early. I loved the available room controls from the app that allowed me to control the tv and room temperature from my phone while working at the desk. The water pressure in the shower was terrific and available shampoo and body wash was pleasant. The only negative I had was that, out of the 4 available pillows, there wasn’t one I liked. I am pretty picky, so I am still giving 5 stars. Coral at the bar in the Garden restaurant was absolutely wonderful and I appreciate her kindness."

"The thing I look forward to the most when going to hotels is the beds as they're often soooo comfortable. When we had this trip planned and would be here for 2 nights, I was excited for a getaway and to sleep on some extra nice beds. I was horribly disappointed. There is no way for me to describe how absolutely FIRM these beds are. We sleep on a firm mattress at home, so we like that, but these beds were (seriously not kidding) almost as firm as the floor. I could not sleep the first night. I woke up and my body hurt so badly I had to take pain meds for the first time in months. I was then really nervous about sleeping in it the next night as my body was truly messed up the entire day after the first night. The second night sucked too. Again, I like a firm mattress so I feel extra bad for anyone who tries to sleep on these beds who are used to medium firmness or softer. The "comforter" that came with the bed was the cheapest material. I wouldn't be bothered by it if we were in a motel but we were in a Hilton that cost a decent amount. I highly suggest anyone staying here with another person bring Poo-pourri spray with them. The bathrooms have sliding barn-style doors which does help save space, however they do not lock and there is a half inch gap between the door and the wall when it's fully "shut." It barely allows for any privacy. The fan is so quiet that it doesn't hardly make a sound/seem like it's working so that doesn't help matters either if you're someone who doesn't want another person to hear what's going on in the bathroom. Three out of the 4 USB chargers next to the beds do not work with lightning cable chargers. They only work if you have a slow-charging cable, so keep that in mind. We had to go to Meijer and buy a charging block to even charge my phone, which then did work. A lot of people use lightning cables so this could be a big issue. As mentioned in other reviews, the lighting in the room is horrible. Instead of having like one large lamp or a nice overhead light you have to turn every single little light on in the room to still just get abysmal lighting. God forbid it's dark out so you're not also getting lighting coming from the window. The location of the hotel is fantastic. All employees we met were very friendly and kind. The room seemed clean. The shower worked well and was nice. The bathroom counterspace was really nice too. We appreciated the lighting in the closet area. I used the iron and ironing board and they both worked perfectly. Several of the items I mentioned have been listed repeatedly in reviews left by others (and responded to by the hotel). Instead of commenting that you're sorry someone had this experience, actually do something to improve these items."

"Booked this hotel from out of town as we were traveling out of state for my wife to have a surgery at a local hospital. The location was EXCELLENT. As a diamond member I value the mobile check in and room selection and both were flawless. The front desk staff I encountered were incredible, kind, and helpful. I didn’t get one ladies name who helped us constantly but her name tag did say she was an AGM, or ASM. Regardless, she went above and beyond. My wife was able to recover well here, and rest easy. The room was immaculately clean, bed comfortable and the do not disturb sign was honored. Also we happened to be here during a snow storm and the property had the sidewalks plowed and cleared which was really nice."

"We stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in Metro Detroit over the summer and had a great expirience, so we'd thought we'd give the brand another try on a recent visit to Ft. Wayne. Unfortunately, although it appears rather new, this Hilton Garden Inn is not on par with our previous expirience. We had 3 differnt rooms between family members in our party, and we all had the same universal complaint the next day, none of us slept good! The beds are VERY uncomfortable, extremely firm, with thin pillows. The hotel itself seems nice, but has avery awkward and sprawling layout due to their actually being a weekly-rate type hotel (I believe it was called Home2) attatched to this property. In fact, the building is essentiallty 2 complete Hotels, albeit with only a single staff split between the two. If I would've realized this at booking, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. A great cost savings I suppose to operate two properties with one staff, but it didn't exactly translate to a great guest expirience. The "breakfast buffet" (at addidional cost) was a joke, what could be described as a mediocre-at-best continental style layout, no hot food. Luckily they had a limited menu to order from instead. All in all I would stay lesehwhere on my next visit."
