"First I do want to say that I currently live here. Sometimes reviewers only leave these things because they had a bad experience, and usually after they’ve moved out. Well I can tell you that I’ve had nothing but a good experience here and we are looking forward to our second year. Pet friendly, maintenance is attentive, and the office staff are super polite and helpful. And I know there is a train yard nearby, but you honestly don’t hear it. The trees and other buildings dampen the noise. Neighbors are super friendly too!"

"These apartments are well maintained and very quiet. Never had an issue, other than some small maintenance problems. But they are always quick to fix or replace. Office staff is friendly and the amenities are great! Love all the holiday parties and resident appreciation events! Keep up the great work!"

"At night the lighting is lacking… several lights on the exterior of the buildings plus several light pole throughout the complex are out and the breezeways are filthy and need to be power washed clean and around the trash compactor. That’s about all that’s wrong so far."

"The application process went very smoothly and all my questions were answered by Sydney in the office. She had a very positive attitude when talking with me about what I was looking for in an apartment. She gave a very nice tour to my husband and I as well. While living at the Residences for a year, I was always impressed by the care and quick responses of the office ladies, especially Sydney. I appreciate all of the management at the Residences, as that is hard to come by now. Thank you ladies for all your hard work. Thank you Sydney for going above and beyond!"

"UPDATE June 2023: We get charged a "billing fee," "pest control reimbursement," "building and facilities fee" in addition to the normal water, sewer, and rent. It's not clear why we're getting charged those fees when they should really just be included in rent or be absorbed by the company as the cost of doing business. It's an additional ~$20. The grass looks somewhat better. It's not being watered through a sprinkling system, so I'm not sure if that's due to the rainy weather we had or if there's a plan in place. The pool fixtures have been fixed for this Summer 2023 season. They also repaired some of the cracks in the sidewalk concrete. I will echo that something bothersome: there's constantly trash left outside of the trash compactor and there's a lot more trash around the property as a whole. I wish they'd let maintenance keep picking up the property. We used to see them out, sometimes even on weekends, picking up trash but not anymore. ------ Original review January 2023: I've lived at this property since Dec 2018 (I've lived in two apartments here), so I think I have a pretty solid idea about the property's strengths and weaknesses. I lived here before the new company Birge & Held took over and I have seen a decline in the property as a whole. Before Birge & Held took over we constantly saw maintenance out picking up trash and overall just making sure the property looked great from an aesthetic point of view on a regular basis. The grass was watered, etc. Since Birge & Held took over the grass isn't being watered by the apartments -- only by the leasing office -- so it looks patchy in the spring/summer/fall. Pool fixtures were not fixed during pool season and there's a street light that is constantly flashing by my building and hasn't been fixed for months. I'm not even confident they drained the pool before winter. Also, I'm pretty sure that before the first big cold and ice they didn't salt the sidewalks before Christmas 2022. They're usually outstanding at doing that in prep for bad weather. Overall, the super high quality that I was accustomed to has gone down. I think it's due to this company trying to increase the return for investors. They did replace all appliances (all floors) and flooring (first floors) but I'm not confident that wasn't just a cash grab to raise rent next year. (The apartments are relatively new so appliances and floors didn't need replacing.) Our apartment is being listed at over $300 more per month on the website for new renters than what we're paying now which is worrisome. Now, to be fair, this place was a great deal when I first rented. It appears they're trying to get this property up to "market" plus a little extra. I just hope they actually continue the good quality that we're used to. Time will tell if it's not already telling. Strengths: maintenance servicemen are quick and reliable, apartments are nicely sized for the current cost, small gym, lovely pool, leasing office staff has been helpful and forthright when I've asked some difficult questions, gift wrapping station in the winter, cute events throughout the year (which I've never gone to but it's nice that they put them on). Weaknesses: property maintenance hasn't been maintained as much. I'm getting the sense that for what I'm paying, I'm not getting as much. That's making us (long-term renters who always pay on time) look elsewhere."
