"Not worth even one star!!!! At first I didn’t believe all the bad reviews people had to say about this place so we applied for the apartment was told everything was fine numerous TIMES, by the apparent property manager , no issues even had us paying fees etc only to find out that wasn’t the truth! Now we’re waiting on a refund and no one seems to know why it wasn’t processed although we were told months ago it was! Even had confirmation that our refund would be on the way by the manager, now they don’t know why! Honest REVIEW this place and its management is A COMPLETE JOKE!! Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone!! STAY AWAY!!!"

"Charging a flat rate for water to residents after water bill suddenly increased significantly, without explanation, and double billing. No explanation for double billing from office. Meanwhile, an obvious water leak went visibly unrepaired on property for years. Definitely appears they are deferring this cost on to residents because leaks were not repaired properly. Not sure how this is legal. There is no way we use the volume of water that would justify the cost, and Emily tried to gaslight me into believing it was saving me money. The flat rate is higher than any water bill I ever had prior to that point, so that seems implausible. Also think it's cute that you're having employees and non-residents rate the complex to bring the overall stars back up. I still have a broken stove 3 years after being promised all new appliances, and no heat or air in one bedroom. Fire department recently responded after my smoke alarms wouldn't stop going off. They advised me that those smoke detectors were at least 20 years old and should have replaced a decade before. Meaning not only were they expired before I even moved in, but the numerous mandatory inspections done just glossed over that blatant negligence by the complex. Or maybe Inverness decided our safety wasn't worth the cost of 2 smoke alarms. Inverness has changed hands several times in the past 8 years, each time with the new managing company realizing they'd purchased a money pit and bailing. Hawthorne Residential, however, seems to be recovering losses by neglecting specific residents, overcharging for utilities, and breaking promises to replace broken appliances. No one should be paying these prices and have a bedroom staying at below freezing temperatures- despite the heat being 68 elsewhere in the unit."

"I like the property. The lawn is well kept and looks nice. Employees in the office are nice too, especially Sharen Cooke. She’s very professional and goes out of her way to make sure you get what you need."

"Inverness has been a pretty enjoyable place to live for the most part. I feel that things have become much better since Sharen has been in the office. She is always pleasant, has a great personality and always shows excellent customer service any time I’ve had an issue."
