"The newly renovated rooms are beautiful. Very sleek and modern. Best part of my stay was Kaelyn. She greeted us with a beautiful smile and a personality that is quite honestly absent in most customer service roles. She was a joy to talk to. Give that special lady praise and a raise! You have a very special employee! A true gem!"

"Room was fine. Facility was clean. Location was fine. This wasn't a Four Seasons located next door to UA stadium...but that's why we stayed here because it was the most reasonably priced hotel we could find on UA Parents Weekend. But what stands out about this hotel is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was polite and polished and sincere about servicing the guests. I travel for business and stay predominantly at Marriott properties. The staff at this facility is the most topnotch crew I've had the pleasure of interacting with. Thank you for a great weekend in Tuscaloosa!"

"We always stay at Marriotts and I would not recommend this one at all. It is old and smells like mold in all the rooms. This hotel needs serious repairs. The light outside is broken, so all of the letters are not lit up. The room has cracks on the ceiling and walls, the lamps had mold on it and were cracked. The painting on the walls were broken . We booked 3 rooms for 10 people. We had 2 rooms with double beds and that is not enough room for 2 adults. There are no exhaust fans in the bathrooms. They do have wonderful bodywash, shampoo, and conditioner. The TV has no guide channel or hotel that works like regular Marriotts do. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is 1 waffles maker, circle eggs, sausage gravy, yogurt, bread, and 2 choices of watered-down juice for 3 days. The pool needed to be cleaned because it was very cloudy so we didn't get in it at all. And they didn't clean our room any of the days we stayed! We were in the hall when they were on the floor to clean the other rooms. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL! Pick another one that are next to this one."

"Not good. Arrived at 11:30pm and husband waiting at the outside front door for a good 10 mins before someone took notice. Room smelled like menthol as if they were trying to hide the obvious electrical fire that took place in the room. The ceiling was scorched with a new light fixture. Hallway smelled like weed. Just dirty. No high chair for my baby for breakfast. That seems like a bare minimum to me at a Marriott who serves breakfast. Will go next door next time. Save your money and spend $30-$40 more and go to the newer Marriott next door."

"This place did not live up to my Marriott expectations. 1) I always request a high floor, but none was available; 2) the room heater did not work; 3) the room phone did not work; 4) there was only one person on staff. He was very polite and responsive to my heater problem, but there should have been a 2nd person as guests checking in were delayed while he handled my heater issue. He efficiently switched our room, then 4) the new room only had 1 regular Keurig coffee pod. As a Gold Elite member, I will continue to use Marriott, but not in Tuscaloosa."
