"Decent selection, generally ok prices, but terrible customer service today. Normally IDs are checked upon purchase, as is standard at every other liquor store I’ve been to. Today (10/22/23) my girlfriend and I (both 25 years old) walked in to the store, to be immediately shouted at from behind the counter “ID!” repeatedly. There were others around also walking in at the same time, so we were somewhat confused who she was talking to, as she said nothing other than “ID!” over and over again. Eventually she became more aggressive and added on a pointed look and a “Ma’am” to where we could tell she was talking to my girlfriend. We ended up just walking out without purchasing anything. Due to Alabama ABC laws, there is nothing here that cannot be found cheaper at the ABC Select a half mile down the road, without being shouted at. Customer service is one of the primary reasons I shop at Costco, and there are clearly training deficiencies in the liquor store department here."
