"I purchased an oatmeal colored upholstered bed back in November 2023. It was delivered on January 27th. After the bed was set up I noticed a really bad smell in my room. The smell was so bad until I thought the set up guys may have tracked something into my bedroom on the bottom of their shoe. I vacuumed and sprayed my carpet however, the smell was still there. I walked to the bed and smelled the headboard and realized that's where the smell was coming from. It wasn't just the headboard it was the whole bed but not the mattress. I tried to air out my room to see if that would help, but needless to say I couldn't sleep in my room for a week. I called customer service and asked what could be done. They scheduled a tech to come out and assess the situation. The tech came this morning but stated that he was told it was the mattress that had the smell. I said no...it's the bed. He then said his nose was kind of stopped up so basically he couldn't really smell anything. He took pictures of the bed and was going to write up his report. I'm very disappointed because I waited to 2 months to get the bed and now that I have it I want to give it back. I'm not sure what can be done to get rid of the smell but if they can't find a solution I will be returning it. This is an update to the review I posted. The manager from Rooms to Go (Johnny) reached out to me on Friday to apologize for the inconvenience. He went ahead and ordered me a new bed and mattress. I just received notification today that the bed will arrive on Wednesday. I appreciate the quick response and prompt assistance with this matter."
