"I have visited this park several times. The neighborhood is friendly, and the children in the area love being in the rec and outside. I have had one on one conversation with the staff Mrs.Jackie, I love her attitude and attention to details about activities with the youth. The facility is clean, It doesn't smell like a recreational center. The youth art is displayed throughout, which is great encouragement to the youth and their families. This is a beautiful park the City of Mobile should be proud of it and Mrs.Jackies hard work to keep it inviting and clean. The residents should take care of the pride in keeping this environment for generations to come. Rickarby Park and Mrs. Jackie, I will be visiting here more often. Sonya Bumpers"

"Nice little neighborhood park with a playground, small pool, basketball court, baseball diamond, and recreation center. I did not see any restrooms, unless they are within the Rec Center. There is one single BBQ pit with picnic table by the basketball court. Nice park, but the surrounding neighborhood seems a little sketchy. At 9 am on a Sunday Morning, I saw two winos walking down the street sipping tall cans & three pit bulls running loose, no leash, no owners. There are at least three or four boarded up homes surrounding the park. Nobody bothered me, I was just worried that the dogs running wild would attack my dog who was on a leash. But the park looked clean, well kept, with almost no litter, so I think it is well taken care of. No parking lot, so you have to park on the street."
