"First time visiting. Down home cooking, soul food. Amazing staff had us feeling like we were at Granny's table for supper. It's an older restaurant, but there's a reason why old restaurants stay in business. It's good food, good service, and good smiles. If you're missing home, this is what you need."

"I ordered the oysters. Not good at all! Almost turned me against oysters. The hush puppies were not cooked done and it was hard to tell the difference between the oysters and the hush puppies. The service was adequate but I have had much better meals at other restaurants. Should have complained, but didn’t. They were very busy."

"For the most part the food was good. But be far warned about the oysters. I’m from Louisiana and know a good oyster. These were the strongest fish tasting oysters I’ve ever bit into. Couldn’t eat them. I told the waitress and host. They didn’t seemed to be concerned. The fish was good. The house made tartar sauce was really good. Hush puppies had a good taste, but you could ring the grease out. Husband and I were both nauseated that evening. The service was good except not taking care of the oyster issue. A bit too pricey also for 2 people. Husband and I normally share a plate because we don’t eat a lot. They won’t allow it. Had a lot of left over food that was wasted. Fried seafood doesn’t do well to go."

"I get off every morning from my 3rd shift job hungry. Don't get me wrong I love Hardee's. But if I'm going to pay 6.00 for a sandwich or 9.00 for an combo. Why not just pull up to one of my favorite spots. You can call in your order (that's what I do) or go in have a sit. Everyone there treats you like family. I love it here!!!!. They open at 6am and close at 2pm.. if u haven't tried them you should..GOOD OLE COUNTRY COOKING"

"I can only speak for breakfast, but I what I had was delicious. Eggs scrambled, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and chocolate gravy for dessert. I don't like gooey eggs, so I ordered them well done, and they did not disappoint. The biscuits were buttery and worked well with the white gravy. The biscuits and chocolate gravy was very rich, like a drinking chocolate, and was a wonderful way to end the meal. The server was very nice, even given how busy it was this morning. It was my first time and she was able to give me some recommendations, because I almost ordered too much food. Definitely would go again."
