"Hither I traveled in days of yore, when the sign read ye goode olde Utrecht store. But age doth seem not derelict forth hence the name has changed to Blick. And lo! What eggs inside are packed! Eight walls of paint all wont be cracked! Ten marker racks, canvas, stretchers, brushes, gessos, untold of treasures. Lest my impression hath not wrought, as I stepped forth and back I sought - but without finding, fraught painted me! And then, a voice! "Need help sir?" From out of naught appeared my guide. "Ummm yes, I can't seem to find Transparent Red Oxide." Spake she next, "I think only Gamblin carries that. Yep, here it is.""
"Expensive but high quality selection. Does not carry some specialty items for painting like impasto, however. Good selection for architects -- vellum, compasses, metal rulers with corkboard."
"I wish I could give a more effective review but the parking situation is awful. There is a good size parking lot next door, which is run by a company that has a sign to scan the QR code to pay, but the site wouldn't load. So I lucked out and found one remaining empty spot with its own MKE Park meter, but that site wouldn't let me login. I tried resetting my password but it would not work. So then I tried using my credit card and got that to work. Asked for an hour and got... 8 minutes. I don't know what the poor (very knowledgeable) staff members must have thought as I basically ran down each aisle so I might get an idea of what they had. Then the mad dash to pay for my tube of gouache and then running to the car within 8 minutes. I think the store is nice? It flew by so fast sadly."
