Brashear Towers Senior Apartments

"I've lived here for 3 years and I think it's a very nice and safe place for seniors. Denise, Rebecca, & Phyllis, the night manager, are very nice and very good at what they do. They often spend time talking with residents, showing genuine interest. AND they swiftly, along with John and Todd, make sure things get fixed in a timely manner. John and Todd can fix anything and they are such nice guys. I highly recommend Brashear for those seeking a friendly, atmosphere and a nice, clean apartment, with a great management team!"

"I was a resident here for nearly 3 years. It is an absolutely HORRIBLE place to live because the Management , specifically Denise, treat the residents with disrespect & contempt. The “rules” are not applied equally to the residents. They DO NOT follow the Fair Housing Act, are rude & authoritarian, know zip about elder care, and generally make life unnecessarily miserable. . These ladies are very unprofessional. They will lie and fabricate “lease violations” and swiftly move to evict anyone who challenges their authority or stands up for their legal rights. Denise thinks she has more power & authority than is legally hers. Please do not house your loved ones here. The windows cannot be opened not even one little inch. All former amenities were stripped away under the present owners. They do not enforce the “no smoking” lease clause and my apartment regularly smelled of other people’s cigarette smoke.The garbage is not always properly disposed of by Management and the elevators and first floor often stink. The stench is bad at times. This was my first experience with senior subsidized housing and I know now what is a BAD placement."

"I have lived in many different apartment complexes, and I am having a much better experience here at Brashear Tower. The manager and assistant manager are always working hard for us. It is obvious that they truly care about the well-being of the tenants here. Denise takes time out of her busy day to visit and ask how we are doing. The maintenance crew is top notch and comes in on the weekends if there's an issue that needs immediate attention. Also a big thank you to Phyllis, our night manager; who is here for emergencies. You are awesome! This is also definitely the cleanest, well- kept apartment building I have lived in. Kudos to all the employees here...Keep up the good work!"

"I am a caregiver at this place.. and for some reason management thinks they have more power then they really have. They bully and intimedate the residents because they are seniors and I can't understand for the life of me how Denise has her job she is very mean and disrespectful.. and abuses her power.. I am goin to contact had to complain because it's ridiculous.. also one more thing. The windows don't open how did this happen what smart person decided to do this? Unreal"
