"Been living here a year now and these apartments use to be great. Used to be such a quiet community. Past few months it’s gotten horrible and honestly, ghetto af. There are fights and yelling in the hallways and parking lots about everyday. There is constantly people pushing your buzzer at 2,3,4 in the morning. Have caught people wandering the hallways and standing outside my door at odd times of the night. The Kentwood police is here a few times a week. My car has been broken into. Management does nothing to make their residents feel safe or even acknowledge the problems. Definitely not renewing my lease. If you care about your peace and safety, look elsewhere!"

"Had a solid time - apartment was fine for the rent and the staff +maintenance are always very nice. Come time for a lease renewal, rent was being increased to more than the apartment was worth. I received the notice on my door of the new rent on the 13th, and was told I had until the 15th to submit a written notice if I was planning to renew. Since I received this on a Friday and the 14th/15th were Saturday and Sunday (days where the office is closed), submitting the 60 day notice would have been impossible anyways, let alone expecting a decision on if I should move/pay the $250 a month increase in two days is already absurd. With full time work and office hours not alligning, I ended up making the decision to move and submitting the paperwork about 10-15ish days after. I figured there would be a small fine, which was ok - until I received a charge on my account for around $500. I would have preferred they just shotgun rig my door so I wouldn't have time to process the demon brain required for that decision, making moving a nightmare to figure out finances. My hope is they accidentally added a 0 to the number and it can be fixed, but until then checkmating me out of half a grand means anyone looking to live in the area can find better, cheaper and less predatory places, even if the staff and maintenance are always nice On another note, my car has been broken into/dug through 3 separate times since arriving, but luckily the local robbers are too stupid to know what in my car has value, and also can't hotwire past the first step of breaking my steering wheel console"

"I am starting my 15th year as a resident at Renew Kentwood Apts. I love it here. The peacefulness, the closeness/convenience of shopping, gas stations, fast foods. Also our very own pond, and a variety of wildlife around it; our friendly office staff, Sue and Nicole, Cameron and Zoey; our maintenance personnel are so awesome!! I highly recommend renting one of our newly remodeled apts, to see what you have been missing out on!! Management has been having movie nights on the lawn, taco/bfast bars, raffle drawings and giveaways, brand new grilling station for the residents, and more. "Good with all the improvements, and good neighbors except one couple many doors down who kind of go at it all the time and I hear it all in the hall. Everything is good and no complaints."
