North Pointe Apartments

"This place is an acctual joke. The walls are so thin you can hear everything your neighbors do at any point in the day. The heating and cooling is garbage. In our lease we aren't allowed to have any form of air conditioner besides what is supplied.. it's basically a window unit built into a wall and it doesn't cool beyond one room. The walls in my closet radiate heat being near the boiler room and it's impossible to get the master down to a comfortable temperature most of the year. The electricity can't handle much at all. Trying to do anything even blowing up an air mattress pops the breakers and is nearly impossible. Our neighbors had a cockroach infestation in their apartment and I guess nobody knew until a single one managed to find its way into my bathroom which there is no real reason for one to be in the bathroom and I let the office know I had a bug that I thought might be a cockroach and now the complex is trying to get me to pay for bug management costs when the bug guys found the nest in the neighbors apartment and even complimented me on how clean my apartment is and found no traces except the picture of what I saw. I explained its not my responsibility and it's acctually a hazard to my health they let this go on. I was told I had to pay. I asked for a higher ups number because she was threatening that they are going to add more charges for not paying and then she kept trying to scare me off and wouldn't give me any form of information on who to talk to. Finally they said they want to inform the person of the situation before I talk to them and I said okay then you do that and have them call me. Now I wait. Last time I was told someone would call me that didnt happen. It's an acctual joke. If you care about your health or comfort I would look elsewhere. Also if it matters and you want to judge me based on this review I've been a perfect tenant for 4 years. I'm a clean freak with severe allergies including dust and mold so my *home* is probably the cleanest place I know. I leave everywhere I live or work cleaner than it was before. We have also been the only tenants in the apartment ever. Building is only 4 years old. Good luck."

"Everything at North Pointe is amazing! It's super quiet. The people I live around and the staff are kind. The attached garage and private entry are major game changers. Living here has been extremely peaceful and delightful."

"We lived here 4 years ago. The two ladies in the office were very welcoming and inviting and continued to show their customer service and reliability throughout the year that we lived there. The grounds are well kept. We lived in an older building and loved it because it was super sound proof. Also having the attached garage is amazing, you can’t beat the price of these apartments!!"

"Beware. This complex is covered in tics/ant hills. Walked my dog on concrete path/grass by the BBQ AREA.. and dumpsters to throw trash away and found several tics on me and my dog immediately … Two days in a row! Called the office to address the concern and was essentially laughed at. Was told I could get a tic anywhere and to “stay off of the grass if I don’t want a tic…” What a joke. I have a dog and should be able to walk it in the short grass area that is right off a sidewalk, a few feet from my apt without concern for tics on my dog and myself. There is standing water in a “pond” and it attracts every type of bug, tic, mosquito and some to the property. The complex spraying is a joke too bc there are hundreds of ant hills all over the property. There is a real lack of pest control so if you do not like bugs, stay away!"

"This was my first ever apartment and let me just say it was a good one. Betsy the property manager is incredible! She is very kind and sweet. Then there is Melissa, who is the leasing manager, and she was always very helpful. I stayed in the newer apartments and they are very nice. I was on the third floor and the cathedral ceilings were amazing! The apartment felt very spacious and the amount of natural light made the apartment even better. We never any major issues and anything that did pop up that was in need of maintenance, was taken care of the day of or the next day. Lonnie the maintenance guy is super friendly and gets things done in a quick and professional manner. The location is also really great! It makes you feel like you aren't in the city but everything is right around the corner. I would have to say that the only con with living in the new apartments is the AC. Now it could be, because we were on the third floor, but in the summer the apartment would get very hot. Otherwise great place to live and definitely a good place for your first apartment to be!"
