About the Business

Blanche Hull Park

Blanche Hull Park, located at 4225 South Burdick Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a popular tourist attraction and natural oasis within the city. As the third largest park in Kalamazoo, Blanche Hull Park offers a variety of outdoor activities for visitors to enjoy. From walking trails that wind through the woods to opportunities to view wildlife along Portage Creek, the park provides a serene escape into nature.

Named after Blanche Hull, who generously deeded the property to the city along with her sister Frances Pratt, Blanche Hull Park is a testament to their dedication to preserving natural resources. Whether you're interested in becoming a park ranger or a camp counselor, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and make a positive impact on the community.

"It’s nice to ride my bike there every once a while and see all the geese and sometimes even catch a glance of some little kids playing on the playground."

"This is a very pretty park with two playgrounds nearby (I believe the smaller one is associated with Milham Park and the larger one with Blanche Hull, but I wasn’t quite sure). My four year old really enjoyed playing here. He especially liked the built in drums and xylophones. I really enjoyed the walking paths, bridges, and wildlife. We saw lots of ducks and even an adorable mink! One star is removed for some profane graffiti on the play equipment, a few questionable people hanging out away from the play structure but still in the park (one person was loudly playing music), and a few picnic tables tossed into the stream. Still, I felt safe there and would gladly go back again!"

"Creepy old man in a brown car stalking young men and women I got pics of his car blurry but can still make it out"

"It's not really handicap excessible. No bathrooms available. There are several obstacles on the rugged trail, but I suppose that in the dry parts of summer, it's a delightful area for those able to walk on such terrains. If you are going in wet season, bring boots, and mosquito spray."

"If you're looking for a quiet, rougher place for a walk this is it. The big giant field in the front is great for running your dog but not the best for sports; it's just very rough. But it's a lovely big place to let your dog explore. It's also home to some massive black walnut trees, very beautiful and a great place for walnuts! In early spring, the lower trails have an explosion of rarer wild flowers, don't pick! But great to see them. It's a neat place to explore but come here with a desire to rough it and trail walk, there are no facilities or tables."
