"I’ve been battling stage four metastatic cancer since 2019. I am one of the 3% still living since that time with this disease. I’ve exhausted the two mainline chemo treatments and was told by my previous doctor to seek hospice. Then I switched to Beacon Cancer care under Doctor Saqlain (1/23). Doctor Saqlain was willing to think outside the box and continue some chemotherapy. When I exhausted my chemotherapy options under Doctor Saqlain he was again willing to think outside the box and offer immunotherapy. The immunotherapy is working miraculously and surprisingly well, despite the low odds that it would not. That would not have happened without the direction of Doctor Saqlain and his professional and caring staff. Doctor Saqlain was willing to give me a chance on immunotherapy when others did not. He was willing to consult with other doctors I also see, where other doctors I’ve had were not. Granted, no office is perfect and I have had my frustrations and there have definitely been some rare miscommunications. However, I realize we’re all human and make mistakes and I try to extend grace to myself and others. I don’t have time to be frustrated or negative. The only thing I have time for is seeking ways to extend my life with positive hearts and intelligent minds. Since getting to know Doctor Saqlain and NP Alison Haffner, I have seen they are willing to fight for my life as much as I am. They are thorough and willing to try new things. Likewise, their office staff is very caring and professional. I want to thank everyone at Beacon Elkhart for their world class health care."

"Dr. Toor and Dr. DOS gave up on my husband way to early. I had to argue to get them to give him chemo for his brain. When he asked about more chemo amd more radiation they were against it. He was told 12 to 18 months and made it 10 because they didn't want to do anything else. I feel ashamed that I didn't listen to my gut and only did what he wanted. He thought they were doing good by him. He has now passed and I miss him dearly. Plz don't go to this hospital for cancer care."
