avid hotel Detroit - Warren, an IHG Hotel

"Room was cozy & comfortable-no frills which was just fine. Breakfast needs A LOT of work, however-instant oatmeal, a couple of bread, fruit & cereal choices, yogurt and coffee & juice was about it. Was hoping for something more comparable to competitors: eggs, meat(s), potatoes."

"The staff were nice but I did NOT enjoy my stay. ASKED FOR A $100 deposit no one mentioned till I got there.. and when I inquired why to the receptionist he said it’s because some booking sites don’t show it BUT I BOOKED DIRECTLY THROUGH THEM. When I had issue with my room, first shift said he couldn’t come upstairs to check it out because he didn’t have maintenance or anyone else on site to watch downstairs. But then when I got dressed and said I was leaving, they offered to come up stairs. Like no. I’m going home. * room were super cold upon entry in JANUARY. 1st room had plumbing issues and toilet was super hard to flush, never emptied bowl. shower has footprints in it and counter were dirty and the tv didn’t work for tv casting (cable sucks) The hotel website says QR code on the tv will screencast, but when you scan the QR code on the card on the tv it only gives you options to tip room service. 2nd room had bodily fluids on the wall closest to the bed. heat blew out cold air the entire time and even though the heat says it can go to 82 it didn’t get higher than 75. I AM ANEMIC, and get sick really easy. So it’s important for guest to be able to have adequate heat to stay warm throughout their stay. I didn’t even stay the night I was so uncomfortable and cold. After being in the bed with jacket and boots on, I gave up and drove all the way back home. Weekend getaway RUINED."

"Clean rooms! New hotel with new furniture than can be easily wiped down. I love hard flooring instead of carpet. The lobby and outside seating had a nice atmosphere"

"This hotel is very nice. It's clean and friendly. The AC and heat work very well. Big fluffy warm blankets and soft pillows. On a darker side if management wants to keep it this way I have a suggestion. Don't allow the locals to make it their home. NO weekly rates or long-term stays."

"Very clean hotel. Everyone was super nice. But the breakfast it wasn’t really busy on the Sunday morning we were there and almost everything in the grab and go containers were empty around 8:45am. I was able to get a breakfast sandwich which is really all I wanted but I feel like they should have been able to restock the food faster. But besides that everything else was perfect"
