"WOW, Wow, wow!!!! We had a fantastic vacation. We stayed in the newly remodeled Beach Front Cottage and it was sooo relaxing and absolutely the cleanliest cabin I have ever stayed in (which is important to me). The love and attention to detail was not overlooked, they really care about making your vacation special. We love to travel to different locations around Michigan (our first time to Ludington) but Hobby Crest makes it hard not to come back. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, loved the view and even spent 1/2 day in the State park which is nice and close. Had dinner at Stix one night they also did a fabulous job with that restaurant too. Lots to do and so much to see. Thank you!!!!! Good Luck with all your wonderful ideas, truly enjoyed hearing your story and wish you many years of success and happiness :)"

"Our family of 3 generations enjoyed every moment at Hobby Crest. The cottages are lovely with an updated look. But the setting at Hamlin Lake is what matters. We enjoyed the fishing dock, the water trampoline and other water activities, the basketball court, the open space for yard games, and the peacefulness of it all when we needed that. We appreciated the trails and dunes across the road and also the closeness of the resort to Ludington State Park. Randy and Christy are the ultimate hosts, being there "just enough" to check in and see if we needed anything, but letting us enjoy our family time together. We already have plans to return next summer; it's a vacation in a location we want to repeat."

"We have been visiting Ludington for years and only recently discovered this hidden gem. We spent a memorable week with our daughter and 2 grandchildren in the Sunfish cabin. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in the cabin is wonderful. Everything is new, fresh and current. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. We never tired of the view of Hamlin Lake. Each cabin has a patio, a gas grill and a picnic table. The well outfitted kitchen allowed us to enjoy meals as a family with the convenience of having everything we needed at our fingertips. There is a brand new playground that the kids enjoyed every day. One of the highlights of our stay was the ability to use the pontoon boat for two days. The boat gave us the flexibility to visit the state park and experience the dunes in a new and memorable way. We packed picnics and drinks and blankets for the dunes. The grandkids are still talking about it. I would highly recommend you add this experience to your stay. Christy and Randy have created a wonderfully family oriented resort that we will definitely visit again in the future. They are wonderful hosts focused on ensuring you have and build wonderful memories as a family."

"Our family of 4 truly had one of the best weeks enjoying the beauty and splendor of northern Michigan in the summertime at Hobby Crest Resort. There was truly something for every member of our active family, that includes one tween and one teen. The resort is well appointed with 2 beaches, a fun swim area, lots of space for activity and lounging. The resort location and ability to hike into Ludington State Park, especially at sunset, was wonderful! We took advantage of the pontoon rental and had a great day exploring Hamlin Lake and Ludington State Park from a one of a kind vantage point! The cabins are expertly crafted, well stocked with essentials, and very clean. The owners are very friendly, responsive, and truly committed to providing a top notch vacation experience. We are already looking forward to our return next summer. Thank you Hobby Crest for EVERYTHING!"

"We stayed for a week at Hobby Crest with our daughters, sons-in-law, and grandsons (ages 7 and 3). Such a wonderful place for all ages! Christy and Randy truly have a gift for making everyone feel welcome, like part of their family. They are excellent hosts, very accommodating, and prompt & gracious in answering all our questions. We stayed in Captain's Quarters, which was an excellent layout for our whole family, and right next to the playground! The boys loved swimming in the lake, jumping on the water trampoline, playing in the sand, and hanging out on the playground with the other kids at the resort. We also rented their pontoon boat for a day and had a wonderful time. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked with necessities. The beds were comfortable too - I slept better here than I often do at home! The location of the resort is perfect too - walking distance to some of the Ludington State Park trails & dunes, a short drive to town, and is nestled in a beautiful wooded area. Truly a slice of heaven!"
