"Our family stayed last summer for 4 nights. We booked 2 rooms plus the apartment. All three were the dirtiest rooms I have ever seen. Toothpaste in the sinks, soiled bed linen, thick dust on ceiling fans, broken air conditioning in the apartment along with windows that had either no screens or torn ones preventing us from opening them. The pool and hot tub were dirty, the deck had loose stones making it impossible to walk in bare feet and the several of the lounge chairs were soiled and torn . In general, the entire place was in disrepair. We could never reach staff. It's a shame a place in that location is in that state of disrepair. I would never recommend anyone stay there in spite of the view. We did contact Better Business Bureau, Board of Health and the Ludington Chamber of Commerce."

"Don't be fooled by the 4 and 5 star ratings from others. This place is a dump. Dirty floors, uncleaned bathrooms, leftover food in the fridge, balcony doors that don't lock. Granted they have good view of Lake Michigan but a large parking lot sits between the motel and the lake. Plenty of shady characters hang out in that parking lot at night. An unusual group of people work at this hotel. Beware"

"Can't beat this hotel in Ludington. Great place to stay. Nice staff. Short walk to the beach or downtown. Rooms are clean. We had a nice balcony facing Lake Michigan. Fun to watch ships leaving/entering harbor."

"Have to admit I was at first a little skeptical after reading a couple reviews, but I found this hotel to be historically quaint. Room was very clean. Had a nice room with a King, and a Queen in two separate rooms, looking to the East towards the lake. Room was newly remodeled and included microwave, and fridge/freezer. Beds were very comfortable. In room air conditioners worked great. Vintage...like something on Macinaw Island."

"We had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. Right on the lake! First night was in a standard king, small but very clean, bright and mattress was great. Second night we had lake view king and it was a very big room, very clean, bright and again mattress was great. The staff were outstanding and very helpful with everything. I know it's an older hotel but it is well taken care of. I will stay there again and every time we get back to Ludington. Can't wait to get back."
