"We have been to several B&Bs in Ludington, and this was our favorite. The hosts greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. From the warm brownies at check in, to turning on the fireplace in the front room so we could sit by a cozy fire, to the charming and immaculate rooms, to the super comfy bed...we loved everything about our time here. And I haven't even gotten to the breakfast...we are still talking about the breakfast days later! Perfectly cooked eggs benedict, locally raised bacon, local fruit, fresh herbs...it was amazing. The hosts customized my breakfast to accommodate my food allergies, which was awesome. I also appreciated that this home did not trigger dust allergies, as many older homes do. All in all a great experience, wonderful memories, and we look forward to staying again when we come to Ludington."

"My husband and I decided last minute to get away for a night. We chose The Lamplighter and were so glad we did. Dan and Jen are wonderful hosts. The entire place was very clean. Our room was welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious!!! We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Ludington."

"What’s not to love about The Lamplighter! Above and beyond in every detail! Dan and Jen are outstanding innkeepers. So gracious and accommodating in every way. Our spacious bedroom was cozy, quiet, and impeccably clean. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! And the continuous supply of homemade sweets throughout the day was a bonus. Highly highly highly recommend!!!"

"My wife and I were going to Ludington for the Rhythm and Dunes concert and were looking for a place to stay. We love to do B&B's and after a little research, Lamplighter kept coming up with great reviews. We were not disappointed. Jen was great at communicating as to when we could arrive and greeted us upon arrival, showing us to our room and going over the details. The room was great, comfortable and very clean. The next morning we were seated for breakfast, served by Dan. A blueberry crumble to start and sweet and savory waffles, with a well prepared poached egg and bacon were absolutely delicious. A very well run family owned operation. They take great pride in what they do each day. Take time to read the history of the Lamplighter while enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. Oh, I forgot to mention the homemade chocolate chip cookies. Delicious!"

"We greatly enjoyed our one night stay in the Cassatt room. I could immediately tell Dan & Jen care a great deal about their business and the comfort of their guests. The house is immaculately maintained and very comfortable. Jen was very accommodating of our late arrival around 8pm with our travels. Dan was an excellent host too and accommodated an earlier breakfast before our trip home on the badger. We would definitely stay again, it was a much better experience than I’ve ever had at any hotel."
