"Hello potential guests of Summer's Inn. I am here to make the rare but entirely justifiable positive review of my own workplace. I just wrapped up my first summer as chef at Summer's Inn. As an employee it was the safest and most healing place of employment I've ever experienced. If you're looking here because your considering applying, do it. If you're here because you're considering staying, book it. We book up so fast and for good reason. We take reservations all year. Our season starts typically mid-May through early October. Stay in our clean mid century rooms and walk over to the dining room for a served, freshly made, breakfast with endless amounts of coffee. Afterwards go lounge in the gardens and admire the koi fish. We are quaintly tucked away from the hustle and bustle but conveniently placed a nice stroll from the luxuries right downtown. Sun bathe at the city beach, window shop at the countless mom and pop shops and then stop at Jamesport brewing company for the best beers and burgers in Ludington. Am I madly in love and obsessed with Summer's inn? Yes, and for good reason. - Chef Sammy"

"Charming, well kept motel exceeds expectations. Incredible water pressure in shower. Delicious breakfast that is a significant step up from chain hotel buffet breakfasts - lots of fresh berries and delicious eggs, with toast and Michigan Cherry jam."

"I was pleasantly surprised by Summer's Inn. We had a quick overnighter to attend a wedding in Ludington. I wish we could have had more time to enjoy the lovely outdoor sitting area and koi pond. The service was very good. Our room was not exactly spacious, but enough room for 2 people. Room was cute and cozy. Overall, I would highly recommend, and I hope to return at some point."

"Clean, quiet motel that is independently owned that was likely a roadside motel out of the 1950s. Rooms have thick walls; smaller than modern motels; renovated to current times. On the street from U.S. 31 to the center of town. Has 2 very good breakfast choices - either a fresh fruit/cereal option or a small egg dish with fruit. The most unusual part is the sitting area and the koi pond in the back. Relaxing. See pictures."

"Simple. Clean. Tranquil. Wow! Wonderful stay! Modest, meticulously maintained motel and grounds wraps around a calming garden with relatively large Koi pond adorned with mini, delicate lily pads and surrounded by a variety of beautiful trees. Our family enjoyed the garden over going to the beach one evening as is was clouding and there are chairs to sit around the peaceful pond also you can just sit and talk and enjoy the evening there."
