Ventura Motel

"So far on my third day here and I have nothing to complain about. The motel is a nice simple motel but that is what I was looking for. Cost is well within the range I was aiming for. I'm not sure if I have one of the few good rooms but I don't have any of the complaints that others are mentioning. No visible black mold, no stained carpet or anything obvious at least. I have used the microwave and the coffee pot in the room multiple times without a problem. If I run into an issue I'll update but as of now (2023-08-03) I don't have any real issues. My family checked out of the motel yesterday with no problems to report. I would gladly use this motel in the future and I recommend that anyone that is looking for an inexpensive no frills motel this is a place to consider."

"Absolute Dump! Dead bugs on the floor, bugs in the bed, black mold in the shower! The carpet is so dirty you have to wear shoes 24/7 or your feet will turn black. The pillows are stained brown/yellow under the pillow case. Owner does not care. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!"

"I know it was off season but still, we stayed 1 night I would not have stayed any longer. No coffee pot, microwave kept blowing fuses so it was useless, bed and pillows were very hard, dresser was falling apart and wasn't as clean as it should have been. The room did not look like the pictures. Not worth the price. No free breakfast."

"Bathroom sink was clogged, was given a plunger. Really you want your customers to fix your problems. They offered 1/2 refund returned if we wanted to leave, we wanted to leave but it was 1030 and the whole town was sold out. Wish I could add pictures of the mess in that drain. Gross. $150 for all this mess. Pretty run down old hotel. Not your clean comfortable room for sure."

"I paid $259 for a "suite" which basically just means you get a hot tub in your room. Upon entering the room, I saw a carpet with huge stains throughout and some awful gunky buildup on the TV remote. Although there is plenty of room, there was no place to sit besides some old wooden chairs. My wife and I are not hard to please so we went to sleep. The next day we were expecting my mother to join us and I had made a reservation at this property for her. I told the owner I would like to cancel due to the lack of cleanliness. He agreed despite arguing that a 48 hour cancellation policy applies. Later my mother received a call at 1100pm from the owner asking when he could expect her to arrive. So it seems I was lied to. If you are expecting cleanliness, I recommend a tent in the woods over this place. I will repost when we get a better idea of whether the owner tries to charge us. Luckily we didn't prepay when booking with Expedia!!"
