"I've lived at Pleasant Lake for 8 yrs. Not once late with my rent. My rent started at 545.00 and was raised every 9 months since this is there yearly lease, not 12 months but 9 months. When I first moved in 8 years ago this place was awesome. I lived in the very back where it was very quite. Don't let them kid you about the landscape though, sure the front is landscaped beautiful but what you don't see is what the grounds look like in the back. My rent increased every 9 months so when I moved this past year my rent was 900$. This was a 1 bed 1 bath. Some neighbors were nice but the bad outweighed the nice by 6 to 2. During the past year our security door was never closed, the laundry room was nasty because of the clothes and cigarettes and tobacco that was left inside the washer and dryer. One neighbor even ripped off the door to the washer and destroyed our mailboxes. The hallway stunk so bad of cigarettes you'd have to hold your breath until you got in your apartment. My bathroom ceiling leaked and it took the maintenance crew months to fix it. The kitchen ceiling was leaking so bad the stream of water was the size of a large pencil. I was told I had to wait for someone from maintenance to "LOOK" at it AFTER they were done with helping another tenant. This was during the initial outbreak of Covid and the men from maintenance prance through my apartment unmasked. People had garbage bags outside their apartment so now you're smelling garbage along with the cigarettes. The tenant in the apartment above me had a dog that was caged all day, barked and scratched on the floor along with banging the cage up and down all night because that's how this tenant kept their animal when SHE was out at the bar. When I did notify the office all I got was "no one else complained " and never one thing done. Again with maintenance, they went in my apartment because of an emergency with another apartment and never closed my door while I was at work. Again, nothing was done. The answer I received from this complaint was... what would you like me to do? The list goes on but just make an informed decision before you move here. I moved out this year due to cancer and was going to live with my daughter and because I was leaving before my lease was up and they kept my 990$ deposit. The only good thing about this place was one lady in the office. She was always helpful with me. Stay away from Stephanie though she has absolutely no idea what she's doing. All she wants is her commission for renting an apartment."

"It was decent for a first apartment as this was mine. It slowly started to decline. There is a major geese problem. They're everywhere and when they fly overhead, they leave feces all over the balcony. Thankfully, I didn't have too many maintenance issues, only one in which they fixed same day. The walls/floors/ceilings are PAPER THIN, it's ridiculous. Most of the residents in my building were fine, never heard their dogs, they spoke in passing, seemed nice, except the wonderful lady below me. She seemed to make the most noise out of everyone. TV and music was always loud (literally rumbling through my floor), and she would bang/knock on her cabinets and the balcony door or whatever talking to her cats. I recorded her a few times. I made multiple complaints the leasing office, nothing seemed to be done. The leasing office advised I call the police...why would I waste their time to come out to tell her to stop knocking/banging, useless. THEN, the neighbors to the right of me, decided they wanted to play guitar everyday for hours, even at 10pm. Absolutely no consideration for their neighbors. So I was getting it from below and beside me, it was horrible. I knew I wanted to move when my lease was up. They sent a letter for the renewal advising me of the new rent price (almost $900 for an outdated apartment mind you), and that they would start charging for water, when we all still share a washer/drying and price on that keeps going up - money hungry. Needless to say I couldn't wait to get out of there. The entrance to the complex was nice though, with the pond and benches."

"Best place to go to if you never want hot water in the winter and office management never has any answers to any issues of any kind. Maintenance never answers the phone. You will be on hold for 30 minutes before it hangs up."

"I toured this place recently because I was thinking of renting here. They were very nice and very organized. The rent for 1 and 2 bedroom are reasonable and they offer deals if you sign a longer lease. We saw plenty of maintenance people walking around too. Cons: They show 2 pools on the map view but only have one, that is very small. I imagine it's packed in the summer. The units are devent size but they need serious upgrades. 1 wall AC unit for a 2bdrm will not cut jt. I also found out that they allow people to smoke in their units. But they do have at least 1 building that is non smoking. I would have considered moving here but I found something else. It's definitely worth checking out."

"You will be punished every single year you live here with an increase in your rent EVERY renewal time, for significant amounts of $100 or more. Maintenance is awful, outside for snow removal - I have had to miss several days of work in a row because they just don’t plow or clear parking lots. Normal maintenance is also awful, I’ve lived here several years and my ceiling has leaked the whole time I’ve lived here. Maintenance would come and paint over the watermarks and never actually fix anything. I gave up submitting maintenance requests because that’s all they ever did so now there’s a hole in my ceiling. Also if you sign a moving clause, DO NOT believe them when they tell you that you need to provide a 60 day notice. You are forced to pay through the end of each month, so I am actually giving them a notice of basically 90 days."
