Bishop-Kandel Rentals

"I will never understand how this company can claim to have "Christian values", and will even deny families from renting simply because the adults aren't legally married; yet employ a disgraced teacher who was forced out of her career for HITTING A CHILD! How does that possibly fit in with Christian values? She is the face that represents the company, as she is the SECRETARY who handles all applications. It's just disgusting, in my opinion. Don't even get me started on how overpriced the rentals are for the size, and then the lack of quality materials/repairs. Plus, having rent go up if you have "too many repairs" needed to keep THEIR rental functional. I don't even know how that's legal. I have visited at least 4 homes in the Bernard Ave area over the years. Each & every tenant has complained about the homes being on a concrete slab & how the moment it's moist outside, the insects start pouring inside. I can't imagine living like that."

"They were very nice people. The owner (one of the owners) took time to show us several properties. Asked for feedback and everything. Very friendly professional and all around great people. The employees had gotten back to me super fast. They were willing to work with us and I can not say how much they were very friendly. I dont think I have ever rented from a company that nice and helpful and understanding. We are still in the process but I have been please with the company. I have to edit this. we have been with them a couple months now and they are still amazing. We had bad weather incident and they have been on top of it all. I am grateful we have a great landlord. Maintenance is quick and so helpful. They have been patient and work with us through hard times. Very friendly and understanding I appreciate them. Thank you again . We are over 2 years and I still love this company very friendly staff and works with you as long as you communicate! Our place is nice as well and we made it home!"

"If it's based off of the staff and efficiency it would be a 10/5. Been a tenant for going on 8 years.. They come right out anytime something's wrong no matter what time. Always fix my problem right away, they don't leave you for days. Even bring gift baskets at Christmas. Office, maintenance, and management are all friendly. Work with them and they work with you. I see a lot of bad reviews and I have the feeling that those are people that didn't take care of their properties or follow guidelines that are easy to follow. If you can't mow and clean, you shouldn't rent!"

"If the rating is based off staff it would definitely be 5 stars manager is very polite understanding and the young people are so well mannered and polite hands down great staff. But the homes do indeed needs upgrades and help. I was in a home that had a terrible foundation and rat problem you can hear the rats during the day move from underground into the kitchen the foundation in the kitchen needed work the walls constructed from plywood definitely can not hang a tv on. To charge a fortune for the homes because it’s Findlay work needs to be down to these old homes they were temporary homes when built. I’m quite sure these homes are paid off it wouldn’t hurt to invest more and fix them up and then request the ridiculous rent amount to keep tenants happy. Also recommend a cat for the homes because rats moving in broad day light no fear was beyond crazy due to poor foundation of the home."

"We have been renting from Bishop-Kandel for almost a year. We are very pleased with everything, we have had to call about several things but always got a very quick response. Yes the house maybe older and repairs have to be made but they were always done in a timely matter. Anytime we have been into the office we have always been treated very well. Everyone from the office to the repair employees have been very respectful and helpful. Thankful for this rental experience."
