Once Upon A Child Sylvania

"Its an okay place to buy clothes from. But selling items not so much. They took 3 packs of diapers and gently used baby items. Sold them 21 items to only get $21.....so its $1 per item?! I could of made more selling them online! Where are you buying any brand new baby items for $1? Spent over $100 on these items to get not even half my money back."

"Honestly, tired of the bad customer service from this location. Multiple times I have attempted to bring and drop offs for them to look through. This last time I even called a couple days ahead to make sure they were excepting drop offs. When I get there, they tell me that they are short staffed, so they are not taking any drop offs for that day. Even though when I called two days ago the employee on the phone stated to bring them in whenever. annd the employees are unbothered by the situation, When you tell them you can’t come back the next day because you too in fact, have a job. So for anyone trying to sell their children’s used things go to the store “twice but nice” on Sylvania Avenue instead. The owner is phenomenal, is always in a good mood and has never been rude to me. She takes drop offs during the entirety of her business hours and never turns people away. And actually gives you fair prices for your clothes."

"Communication sucks! I came here August 20th 2023 to drop off a small buy. The lady rudely told me “We aren’t buying today!!” So as I proceeded to turn around to leave as I’m going out the door she yells “we’ll be buying again tomorrow” ok. So I come back the next day with literally a small grocery bag of things that I wanted to sell. And the worker tells me it will be about a two day wait. - I call today to check on my items and the worker tells me it will be a week wait! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? How are things just changing like this and you are lacking communication with your customers?! I will be going to pick up my items because I don’t have a week to wait. And I will not EVER come back to this location."

"Could definitely do better at communication. I called and they were accepting items. I washed, folded and hauled everything in. They patiently watched as I struggled to carry everything in along with my daughter walking beside me. After I got to the counter, they spoke up to say they are not accepting items. I called first. No signs on the window, nothing on social media. I’m finally writing a review because this has happened many times before. At this point, the small amount they offer for great condition clothes isn’t even worth the hassle."
