Goodwill Defiance

"My wife and I would like to thank Veronica and Aden for finding her phone and waiting outside (the store was closed and their shift was over) while we drove 25 minutes to retrieve it. They were so kind!! Plus she had a great haul that night which might explain why she left her phone laying around. Thank you both for going above and beyond. Defiance Goodwill Rocks!!"

"It has a nice makeover and that’s about all it has going for it. They are way overpriced in comparison to other goodwills in other areas. I don’t ever donate here. I only donate to a local thrift shop that also caters to those in need. Goodwill isn’t a high end consignment store and really just needs to adjust their prices as such, not to mention this goodwill is located in “DEFIANCE, OHIO.” Lol, come on people. I will say their employees are nice and professional, and seem efficient and keep the store as organized as possible, with exception to the shoes that don’t seem to have any real order. The shoes are simply put on top of the new racks with no thought to ordering them by size. I only come in here when I can’t find a particular item somewhere else really, and that is due to being overpriced as I mentioned above. It might do the owner some good to visit some of the other nearby locations and compare and go back and make the changes that really need made rather than that beautiful new floor those high prices paid for! Beautiful, but people on a budget just don’t care."

"After the remodel they jacked their prices up. They want 5.00 for a stuffed dog. 3.00 for a toy car. Clothes seem to be the same . Just up all other items. So wrong when they get the stuff free. And most stuff is broke or missing parts."

"Very dirty place. The restroom smells so bad as if someone died in there. They price things way to high for being a none for profit business. They don't care about grouping things together they separate every individual thing even if it is a set. I love goodwill shopping but this one is run very poorly."

"I love good will always have but there is a woman who works at Bryan goodwill who always over charges me. For example I bought one of them paper stack shelves that stack up 4 high couldnt tear it apart type and it said $2 the lady charged me $2 per section, meaning it was marked $2 I got charged $8. Not the 1st time she has done this. I have also bought children's book that are $1 and got charged $3 each. Wouldn't matter except that I spend over $100 each time I go there. So this year I did the math and she had charged me over by more then $100. Now when she is working I will not shop there. She tends to make up her own prices based on if she likes the customer or not. I suggest anyone who shops to double check what ur being charged at Bryan, Ohio Goodwill."
