"Cleveland clinic pediatrics administration is getting notorious in trying to make money in every opportunity. I don't think its doctors fault but the business unit working behind doctors. Recently I requested by MyChart message to our allergy specialist for my daughter's yearly food allergy level test ordered. Something we do once a year for last 4 years. What I found out is that the administration people interject this message & make their own decision without consulting Dr that we need to get an appointment to meet before Dr could place the order. In this case I booked the appointment and it was a total waste of my time, daughters school time and doctors time, we had a little chit chat and she placed an order for blood work and we are done. But Cleveland clinic will use this to bil some insane amount to insurance, being a specialist appointment, and for us using their hospital facility (I.e.chairs) for 15 to 20 minutes.Even the Dr felt awkward & said we shouldn't have an appointment for this & she never got my m sage forwarded tonher. Beware!"
