"They charged me for a physical and an office visit for the same visit. Do not ask any questions during your physical or you will be over charged. Not going back"

"I’m out of network they promised my follow up visit would be in network and if not they would tell me. I broke my ankle struggle to get into the other Uh facility only to learn that now I can’t do my follow up unless I pay out of pocket. This is America. Urgent services? Better make sure your insurance is taken. Need follow up? They don’t care they will have you and your elderly dad drive 30 minutes away and then say oh yeah we don’t take your insurance."

"Brimfield Family Medicine switched to UH. My current dr I've had for a few years since Dr. Thomas left. No issues until recently. Diagnosed w a blood clot in January, placed on xarelto 20mg daily. Within 2 weeks complained of fatigue and basically blown off. Nearly 6 months in - early june I could no longer physically function due to side effects of the medication. My tests were redone, blood clot is gone so I asked to be tapered down off the medication as is RECOMMENDED! Was told 'just quit taking it then' if it bothers you that much... w no tapering. Dr and staff were incredibly rude about it. Also, dr originally said she only recommended at least 6 months and if everything came back good I wouldnt need to continue taking it but now she is wanting to talk about placing me on something long term - what?! They now upload your record to the patient portal - where I have discovered just how much they will lie!!! Have me listed as a current every day smoker... um I told you I quit sept 2020. Have my insurance listed as medicaid... um no honey I pay for my insurance thru work and you have that info. All the side effects I complained about... they only noted the fatigue. NOT the dizziness, not the passing out, not the nausea, or the blurry vision or the tingling all over my body... literally I will be looking for a new dr as I'm sure once I have words this week 6/24 I'll be kicked out of the office... unfrickingbelievable."

"I came in to what was supposed to be the urgent care with severe pain in my upper abdomen and discomfort in my chest. They gave me an x-ray and determined the chest pain was due to pneumonia and the stomach pain was likely indigestion. I mentioned that the pain was severe and was very precisely located and did not feel like indigestion, but they told me to take some antacid and I would feel better in a few weeks. I received no treatment for the pain or discomfort and had no solution for short term relief. I was discharged literally sitting on their sidewalk curb doubled over and crying. 4 days later the pain was unbearable and the discomfort in my chest was getting worse. I went to a different Urgent Care location that does not have an ER attached and they suspected a heart attack. They sent me back to UH Kent in an ambulance who performed an EKG and again determined that it was likely indigestion, despite my objections, and sent me away again with nothing to stave off the pain and no solution. I mentioned that I have had kidney stones and that this felt incredibly similar but in a different location. They told me to follow up with my physician if I didn't feel better in a few weeks. I had to go straight to my doctor the next day who was astounded that they did not suspect gallstones based on my descriptions and symptoms, but charged my insurance for multiple tests that would not have shown gallstones at all. He said that's totally basic and should've been their first thought. Now their ER docs are charging hundreds of dollars in addition to the thousands charged by the hospital to both myself and my insurance company - I don't think it's a coincidence since they knew I'd have to come right back if it was gallstones and they weren't treated. I absolutely believe they were milking my good insurance coverage and giving terrible care. I hope I am never sent back here in an emergent situation!"
