The teacher was exceedingly knowledgeable about all the material and took time to ensure the students understood the material. "Both the CNC Lathe and Mill and the Swiss CNC classes are great!! You learn every foundational skill that you need to know to get your start as a machinist. The hands-on skills offered at CITC are hard to find in the local community college courses. I took some of the programs at Tri-C and LCCC, and trust me you want to take the classes at CITC!! The instructors are all great, you will learn a lot from them including some on the job experience stories that they have been through. I had Kurt and Tom for my CNC and Swiss classes and they are both great teachers and I highly recommend both of them. Some the best people and teachers I have ever had. A huge thing that I also enjoyed was the fact that you can come in for extra help on Fridays if you didn’t get it or want to practice your skills on the machine. Lastly, Tim Duffy, the program Director, and Terri Hartsock, the Admissions/Graduate director, will look out for your future and help you to find a great job when you complete the classes."

"I especially liked this program because it was convenient and I learned so much in so little time. Everyone there was very helpful from the instructor to the staff at work. It was challenging enough to keep me interested and they offer plenty of time to practice on machines on the shop floor. I would definitely recommend to someone who's trying to start a career in manufacturing."

"Program needs major update but great morning instructor who teaches you how to use whats giving to work with. Who really enjoys sharing his knowledge and history of the trade I think it needs to be a little more hands on maybe a little extended to get the full filling of completion but over all the experience was fair."

"I was enrolled in this program for cnc programming and operation. I was doing very well in the class and in the shop. I had got 97% on my first test and 90% on my second test. I am a single father and when my 6 yo daughter got sick with the flu I had to miss 3 consecutive days. Due to the fact that her daycare would not allow her to return until 24 hours after the last time she had thrown up. When I did return to class. I was sent to the office with the director where he proceed to tell me that I was removed from the class. Even though they had been informed and aware of why I had missed 3 days out of the 90 days of the class. But in the same breath he said you are welcome to return to the next class in November. So they removed me and wanted to reenroll me the same day. I did have assisted tuition which he said he spoke to the agency assisting me and they would pay the some 5000 for me to go to the next class. I don't know but it sounded very strange to me sound like a scam for the school to make double tuition."
