"Brought my daughter in as she was having a miscarriage and were told to come here- there was 1 gentleman in the ER waiting room at that time. The security guard at the desk seemed unenthused as my daughter just tried walking right in. "Go around"- his smug voice said twice. No hurry here- it's not his own pain he's dealing with- walk through the doors and up to the counter- my daughter is crying from the excruciating pain. The women at the counter (3) 2 of which never stopped their conversation- again seemed so unepathetic. No one showed any kind of sympathy- it was truly disgusting. Being as it's only about 430am- and we hadn't slept yet- I had closed my eyes while we wait. An hour and a half later, I'm fed up- the waiting room is packed- WTH DID THE NIGHT SHIFT EVEN DO! Literally in an hour and a half- no one had been taken back to the er rooms- WE LEFT! this place has become like most other hospitals anymore- it's disgusting- discouraging! Hire ups are all greedy and lack compassion for humanity!"

"Hurry Up and Wait Drove a friend to Fairview this morning (2/22/24), arriving at 8AM for an 8:30AM appointment. Friend was finally called to the back at 9:06AM. Procedure was to begin at 9:30AM. At 11:30AM - two hours AFTER the procedure was to begin - an employee took time out of her busy day to let me know that the procedure HAD JUST STARTED. After putting their heads together, the staff came up with the ol' "emergency came up" excuse. At no point was either the patient or I informed of the soon-to-be two hour delay. The lack of communication in this "hospital" is breathtaking. Finally, around 12:30PM, the patient was out of post-op. I was told that my passenger was ready and waiting for me down at the main entrance, and that I could get my car and meet at that spot. Arriving at that spot, the passenger/patient was nowhere to be found. I inquired at the desk just inside the main entrance, but these "employees" were of no help. One was too busy holding a small electric fan in front of her face to render any sort of assistance. So I went in search of the missing patient. Twenty minutes later, voila! The missing patient had been found!!! To recap: 1. Hospital can't maintain a schedule, even at 8 in the morning. 2. Hospital chooses not to communicate (in this case) a two-hour delay to either patient or driver. 3. Hospital restroom (the one on the second floor near the waiting area) is not yet on the level of a gas station restroom, but the day is still young. 4. Hospital staff that I dealt with would have to go UP two levels before they reached uncaring status. 5. Cleveland Clinic Fairview has a multi-story parking garage, and then charges patients to use it. Hey Cleveland Clinic, exactly how much money is enough for you people? In closing, my oldest brother was admitted to this hospital back in 2010. At that time, the hospital appeared clean and modern and the staff was friendly and helpful. This joint has fallen so far from that day long ago as to be almost unrecognizable. Given the choice between being admitted here or death, I'm going with the latter. Death doesn't take arbitrary two-hour delays, and the Grim Reaper doesn't charge for parking............."

"Used to be the go-to hospital for emergencies. How has this hospital fell off so much? I went, sat for 6 hours in excruciating pain with only 3 patients there. I ended up walking out and going to another hospital. My son walked in at 10:30 at night with an 8 pain level, wasn’t seen until 7:30 this morning! And that’s after his mom had to call and complain! With only 4 people in the E.R. He ended up having pneumonia and was hard to breath. My girlfriend also went a similar experience, with 2 people in the e.r. and was waiting for 8 hours! Just sad. Will never go to this place again. So if u want to be treated as a non human, feel free to waste your thousands of dollars for a hospital that could care less about your emergency."

"Fairview hospital has always been the best hospital in the Kamms corner area. I was born here 65 years ago and it's still my go to hospital. My mom, 89 years old just had to be taken to the emergency room. She was treated with great respect and kindness and quickly had her stabilized. We were able to be with her in the emergency room and the staff was fantastic. After being transported to her hospital room she nursed back to health by Maria Dvorak. Her care for my mother was excellent. We couldn't ask for anything else. The food was delicious and my mom was able to move on to rehabilitation in a few days. Thanks to Fairview and Maria for the wonderful experience."

"My wife and I came in at 2:30 pm, wasn't seen by the doctor until 8 pm despite complaints of chest pain. My wife was given an EKG which was abnormal but unexplained And needing follow-up. As you can see from the pediatric emergency dept. photo it was not busy. My past experiences at this hospital were all positive, including surgery I've had."
