Reviews
"After 6 visits and from other companies and 4 months without AC , Frosty’s tech Jesse was able to find the issue in 15 minutes. Great service from the first call to the final farewell. Highly recommended!"
"Not thorough. Overpriced. Poor communications and customer service. My husband recently left a review, nicer than I would have put it, and the response we received from the company on his fair review confirmed what my husband posted and then provided misleading information to try to cover up their poor customer service. So let me clarify a few points. (1) Duct work - when I first called the company, I was told they would call me back to schedule an appointment. After a week of hearing nothing, I called again. This time, I made them get me on schedule. The guys came out, provided the quote, and said they would see us once scheduled. I called to schedule and was told they would be there the following Monday. On Monday morning, the company called me and said they were not coming and the earliest they could be there was another week (the following Monday morning). (2) A day and a half after the ducting work, our A/C unit completely stopped working. We called and a tech came out to investigate. This was during a cold front so the A/C unit was not even running much. We were told it was the motor and that the part was under warranty and we would only need to pay for labor. No quote was provided and not once did they tell us there was a flat fee of $700. So here we are thinking great it’s under warranty and we’ll just need to pay labor for a quick motor change out. WRONG! (3) The company informed us that the part was in Orlando and would be here in 2 days (this is Wednesday and they say it will be here Friday and can get installed Friday once they have it). Without the motor, we have no A/C. The company obviously knows this and says for an extra $100 they will drive to Orlando and get it faster for us (one day faster). The cold front is still here, so believing the company, we decline the extra $100 fee and tell them we will see them Friday. (4) Friday, after hearing nothing all day, I call the company to check in on the status of the part. The office tells me they will have to call me back because they do not know. Around 5pm they call me and say the part is actually in South Florida and will not arrive until Tuesday. I’m 9 months pregnant and have a 1 year old. The cold front is headed out and my A/C is not working at all. Their answer, sorry for the delay. (5) They have the nerve to then comment on my husband’s review that we could have paid the extra $100 to expedite the part…the part that was not even where they said it was. There were many factors that went into our decision not to spend an additional $100 when we had already expended a lot on the ducting work and knew there would be some cost for the motor replacement. The company did not even have the decency to let us know of the delay. They also promised to call me back to see if there was a temporary fix, to get the A/C running at least minimally. That NEVER happened. (6) Knowing all this, we decide to pack up and go to my sister’s 2 hours away because of the heat and expecting no fix until at least Tuesday. Monday morning around 10:30am I get a text, not a call or any update, that an appointment has been scheduled for that day between 12-4pm. So once again, I have to call them to see what is going on. They end up going out there (which I appreciate them doing even though we were not home) and replacing the motor. Then they charge my credit card $700 for an hour repair of replacing a warrantied part! Worse, they write in the invoice that there is another problem that needs to be fixed immediately. (7) Why was this new issue not discovered when they came out to evaluate the problem? Why would they replace the motor AND leave the system running, knowing this “new” problem is likely what ruined the motor in the first place? The tech calls us and says the new motor will likely burn up again and to find an electrician. They gave us a $100 credit…on $1400. Will not be returning."
"We had some duct work done on our house after two rooms were not cooling properly. We waited an extra week after their technicians were incorrectly scheduled. Aside from waiting, the ducting work was done correctly, was fairly priced and things were working great. The very next day an issue arose with a module in the AC (2017 DoM) affecting the blower motor (maybe just a coincidence? but we had never had an issue prior) So we had no AC. Fortunately the part was honored under warranty and we were told by the technician it would arrive in 2 days, however it took 3 days longer than was explained to receive the part. To make matters worse, we have a one year old and my wife is 8 months pregnant so we had to leave the house since there was no AC for 3 days. While we were away, the work to replace the module was completed in less than an hour and a half priced at $695. On the invoice the technician recommended the breaker be fixed when this wasn't in his initial assessment or explained as a possibility until after work was performed. So, now we need an electrician to look at the breaker. This company was recommended by a friend, but given their high flat rate prices, they really need to work on comprehensive investigation and explanation. They also need to work on communication between technicians/dispatchers/office and MOST importantly FOLLOW-UP with the client. To try and rectify the situation they credited us $100 on the latter work performed. I believe they are an okay company, but we did not have a great experience with them. In total we were charged $1290 (with credit)."
"After calling several different AC companies I found Frosty air and decided to call because it has been a family-owned business for 30 years. They were very kind to me, didn't have pressure me and allowed me to think about the choice I was going to have to make. The young man that came out, Josh, was very friendly and really nice. He told me what was wrong with my unit and gave me two choices for me to decide what I wanted to do. He told me to take my time and call the office when I was ready to make the decision. Laura, who I talk to was just as nice and very caring. She is a pleasure to talk to. The two men who came out to install my new unit were the same. I highly recommend Frosty air for their professionalism, courtesy and thoughtfulness."
"Our AC system stopped working all of a sudden in the morning. Since our AC System is only a couple of years old, we were surprised. Frosty's AC installed our AC System and it has been working flawlessly ever since. I called Frosty's explained the AC wasn't working and Heather scheduled a service visit in few hours. We were luckily, Jessie our technician from Frosty's AC arrived an hour earlier than expected. Jessie asked if the thermostat was displaying anything? I said no. He said, it's probably a simple problem. Jessie went to the AC Air Handler in the garage. Within 15 minutes, Jessie found the problem; it was a stuck switch for the water flow to the outside. Since we were due for an AC Tune-up, I asked Jessie to perform the tune-up while he was at our home. Jessie perform the testing, checks & adjustments, cleaned the evaporator coil, cleaned the switch and the pipe line to the outside with Clorox, and ensure everything was operating correctly before closing-up the unit. Our AC System was working and delivering cold air throughout the house after Frosty's AC Service. That service call was over 10 days ago and our AC has been working perfectly. Now that's great service - fast, reliable and easy! The bill was $189 with a free future service visit during year to drain and flush the water line. In addition, I receive Frosty's assurance that our AC system is working at peak efficiency and trouble-free. Thank you Frostys."
