"My husband and I are not pleased with the customer service, responsiveness, or sense of professionalism that this company lacks. We will not be recommending any houses that are using Select Real Estate Inc for many reasons. One of which being because when I tried to call to ask about the different protocols in our lease, which I was just trying to understand, the manager was VERY condescending as well as making it seem like it was the most time consuming task to take 10 minutes out of her day to help me understand my lease. Any time I tried to speak with the manager I was cut off; making it seem like they do not care about what the customer has to say. Another reason we will not be recommending this company to people for rentals is because they ended up stating one thing on our lease in writing, but then they stated over the phone it was up to the homeowner - which I do understand, however that should be written in the contract that the renters are signing if it is not explained at first. The third reason we will not be recommending this company is because our specific Property Manager never responded within a timely fashion. I had called her twice to ask her about our fence, which was not usable 4 months later, she answered the phone, did not say anything, and hung up. Under no circumstances can I even fathom doing that to a customer in my field of work. The company should not be making the tenants wonder what is going on. It seems like this property management company’s biggest downfall is their communication because 4 months later a different neighbor fixed the fence and the management company had NO idea that it was fixed. There should have been communication with updates along the way about what is happening with each project that needed to be fixed. Another reason that my husband and I will not recommend this company is because the property manager seemed like she just wanted us out of the house as soon as possible once we were planning to move out. Continuously asking when we were moving out and when we would have the house cleaned by, when we had until a specific date in the beginning. If we were dealing directly with the homeowners we most likely would stay at the house we were renting. Another side note as to why this company is not professional; our property manager would come by the house in Jean shorts and a tank top, or when we were doing our final walk through she showed up in leggings and a sweatshirt. We are very big believers in actions speaking louder than words, and this management company’s actions show that they don’t care about their customer relationships and they don’t care about their company image that their employees are portraying while working. This property management company was not professional at all and my husband and I will not do business with a company who treats customers this way. Customer service is very important for any company to have, and this company clearly can care less to show their renters great customer service."
