"We had a great thanksgiving week. House was a perfect captiva location with great access to beach, bay and town. House was perfectly equipped and the hosts were very accommodating. Great place!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. It was so nice to see the progress they are making on the island. There was construction but none of it disrupted our stay. The unit is really cute and stocked with everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back next year. Excited to see the progress they make!"

"Awful Experience with Dream Vacation Rentals and Captiva Tarpon house. We booked a house through them last year and due to the hurricane and damage to house and Island we were unable to stay. Dream Vacation Rentals gave us one option to come this year (2023). Upon check in we immediately noticed issues with the boat dock (we rented this house because we were bringing our boat) and tennis court. Dock was unsafe for kids to walk on and tennis court was still being renovated from the storm. After entering the home we quickly noticed a strong mildew odor, stains on the ceiling were water leaks occurred and overall a very run down property. In addition to the mildew, the rusted refrigerator had the icemaker removed (there were handwritten signs that say it isn't working), Dream Vacation Rentals left 2 moldy ice trays as the only option to make ice. The grill on the ground level was so rusted inside it was unusable. The odor was so strong in the master that after one night one couple had to go to alternate accommodations and no one used the master for the rest of the week. I spoke to Ryan (owner of Dream) on one occasion, but after repeated texts from an answering service he never had the courtesy to call us to discuss the multitude if issues with this house. All in all, in 20+ years of renting properties this is by far the worst management company we have ever dealt with. While on Captiva we spoke to a couple other companies about rental options and they were so friendly and helpful. With multiple other companies on Captiva to rent through, save yourself a ton of aggravation and use a more reputable and responsive company."

"BEWARE! STAY AWAY! This business is a total sham. These crooks have had over $4500 of my family’s money for 18 months and just informed us for the second time that the property is not inhabitable but refuse to give our money back. Please do not do business with them. We are having to hire lawyers to get our money back. Absolute nightmare."

"They are LIARS!!! We were scheduled to stay on Sanibel a month after Ian hit. We were told that while we would not be able to stay during our scheduled time because of the destruction on the island, they were not giving refunds, but we were repeated told we would be rescheduled for the same week the following year. When I asked for some kind of written confirmation of this, they refused which was the first red flag. We waited several months until we knew the island was recovering and open to the public. I reached out to confirm we were good for this coming October as promised. I was again assured that we would be rescheduled, but we would have to get a different unit since they no longer represented the owners of the unit at Sundial that we had originally reserved. Not a problem. Get us into a comparable space and we are good. I was then told they would work on it but I would have to speak to another representative. After 6 calls over 2 weeks and getting passed from one person to the next, I finally get a call to tell me that they will not reschedule me and that they were keeping the $1800 I had already paid the previous year. This was one of the same people that told me I would be rescheduled. When I repeatedly asked why I was told multiple times that I would be rescheduled, but now I would not, even by this same individual, their answer was because the event (Ian)occurred within 30 days of my planned arrival (it was 29 days to be exact). So why wasn’t I told this months ago or even when I reached back out this summer? They couldn’t or just wouldn’t give me an answer. After 20 minutes of trying to get some kind of explanation, they finally agreed to refund a “cleaning charge”. In the end, I got back about $350, and they kept over $1400 off my money for a stay we never made. While I sympathize with the people of Sanibel and will most certainly return to help support the local economy, I will NEVER use these people again. LIARS and THIEVES! Do yourself a favor a book with someone else!"
