"INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! I STRONGLY urge anyone seeking a new home to steer away from this complex. It is run by a husband/wife team. Debra is the "manager" while Peter is the "maintenance man". They seem Extremely friendly, and open, luring you in with their "wholesome religious" attitude. When you sign your lease they will also ask that you sign an addendum for pest control in hopes that they are not held responsible for their negligence. When you report the bed bugs they will tell you that YOU are dirty, AND YOU brought the bugs anyway. Sadly this is not the only issue; The apartments are poorly maintained, and there is NO SCRUTINY when it comes to renting out the units. Since moving in there has been a prostitute residing here, a man whom exposed himself to a group of children, and an ex cop, turned addict. There are also many unfinished qualities in most units, i.e. missing fixtures, clogged drains, missing tiles, cockroaches EVERYWHERE, broken balcony screens, and so on. This place is advertised as quaint condos,being rehabbed to become visually appealing for families. More so the "managers" lie to most tenants, seeing us as ignorant, and gullible. We move on Saturday ~"

"This review is in response to the previous review posted last week. We have been living at strathmore garden apartments since nov. 2013. The allegations that Leo our apartment manager is a racist is not true. Leo has always been fair to us & treats everyone in complex equally no matter race. As far as paying more rent because your white is also untrue. Our rent has always stayed the same & has never been increased since the day we moved in. The grounds, backyard, laundry room always is kept up & clean. If your toilet seat breaks I feel it's your responsibility to fix it not the owners. We have had issues with ceilings leaks from rain but it was taken care of right away & fixed. I like living here, people are quiet, grounds kept clean, and rent is reasonable & affordable for this area. Only major issue is parking. There is not enough spots for the amount of cars & only 9 guest spaces. You get one designated parking spot per unit if you own more then one vehicle if your lucky you can grab a guest spot otherwise you have to park on side of building next door. Other then that great place to live"

"It has bed bugs.....but if we are going to mention this we have to say All sarasota area , not just this complex and we live here and everyone needs to fight them not just the owners( they pay to spray against them every 3 months )"
