"I have never written a poor review before, but my experience with Beneva Gardens was so terrible I felt like I needed to. When you give them the notice to leave, they keep your deposit and tell you they will mail it to you and when you get the check it comes with $100, $200, whatever they want to take from your deposit, telling you that it is for cleaning & painting. Even though before living the place Sherri, which is the manager, came a few times and expressed that the apartment was impeccable cleaned!! Before we left the apartment, we made sure to go over the contract and clean every single thing listed that needed to be cleaned when turning in the keys. We even took the time to wash every drawer and shelve linings in the kitchen and bathroom. Asked them for some paint to retouch a few spots here and there and they told us it was not necessary, that the apartment was in perfect conditions and they always paint it before renting it. When we called her to ask her about the rest of the money, she just said she was sorry, but she had to charge for cleaning and painting the front door. These people are ungreatful and very dishonest! We lost our money but in the bible in Romans 12:19 says: "Do not take revenge, dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath." It's not the money, but the dishonest action that really bother us. So, enjoy the money Sherrie. I'm sure you need it more than us."
