"Update June 2020. After posting this previous issue, I must say the staff did a 180 degree turnaround. They were very responsive and forged a good bond with us. I have been renting from Crystal Shores since June 2018. I separated from the military and moved here to Florida from New Mexico. The transition into the house was a breeze. They emailed me my documents to sign and I was all set before I even arrived into the local area. That is about the extent of the good things I have to say about them as a whole. As you may know, we get hurricanes here in Florida. My first time contacting property management was in October. I was prepping the house a week early for the hurricane that was scheduled to hit when I realized there was not any hardware to secure the boards to the house. The required hardware are 1/4 inch wingnuts with a built in washer. I contacted the property manager Katherine and relayed my concern/issue and there was no resolution. She told me she would contact the owners, but did not. My neighbor ended up actually getting ahold of them, and realized the hardware got packed up by TMO (which happens). Still, I did not hear back from her to even let me know that this was the case. I had to repeatedly call back and when I finally spoke to her, her response was "you will not be liable for any possible damage to the house". This is not the response a father of three young children wants to hear, especially without any resolution! As a result, I went to several hardware stores to find scraps for pieces. My family and I were unaffected by the storm, but this should have been a sign of things to come with the property management department. I have called numerous times post hurricane to get the designed pieces and to this day (3/18/19) still do not have them. She has told me they only have one handyman and would get him out to the property, but that has not happened either. On to the next. I contacted the emergency number listed on my lease this past Saturday due to an alarm going off on the septic system. I called the number at 7a.m. sharp and talked to someone named Heidi. I relayed that my septic alarm went off and we needed someone out there to take a look at it. Well....today is now Monday and still no word from them. Luckily, the alarm ended up clearing midday on Saturday and I have not had an issue since. I called the company and they acted surprised. They told me, "we thought the house alarm went off?" to which I responded there is not one here, and she says "I know, that's why we were confused." Okay, so you mean to tell me if you're confused, you don't ask for clarification? It never crossed Heidi or Katherines mind to follow up if you are "confused"?? For a renter paying $1,550 a month, you would think you would at least get a smidge of customer service. I must say if I owned a property, I would never leave it in the hands of this company. As a renter, I realize I have made a huge mistake renting from them. Communication is key in any sort of business relationship. Unfortunately, there is none from these guys."

"I rented a property from crystal shores for a year and a year dealing with Kathryn was enough!!!! In the time I rented the property the tub in the second bathroom leaked the whole time when I called to have it fixed the Maintenance manTook two weeks to come out then put up some corner things on the sides of the tub and said it was from water getting on the shower curtain which right after he left the tub was leaking again but then things got worse the whole property started to Mildew when the ac did keep up with property because a unit that was to small for the property was put in then through the winter it did not keep the house warm, but to top it all off the electric bill was over 500 in the summer because the ac unit never shut off I would not recommended Krystal shores to even my worst enemy......"

"A Great Property Management! Crystal Shores is managing two properties for us right now. Since we no longer live in town, it is a huge help having someone the tenants can call when they have a problem. We decided on them because the staff is friendly, the prices were more reasonable than some of the other local companies, they were honest with us, and they actually seem to care. For the one home that needed a tenant, they found a tenant within a couple weeks of the unit being available. I have to say I was somewhat impressed since the location of the home is not exactly "in town". One person commented on a person named Theresa. I was told she and Jessica no longer work there. The person we have been dealing with is Katherine. Since we have only been dealing with them for a few months, I'll have to update this after we have more experience with them. UPDATE: We have been pleased with the service this company has provided over the last 6 years. They are quick to notify us of any problems that arise with the tenants or the homes."

"Crystal Shores Realty has proven themselves to be a very difficult company to work with. My wife and I called them about a leaky A/C and their maintenance man came and patched it up. After a few months the problem was worse than it had been. We called them on a Friday and Katherine informed me that someone would come out to repair the damaged. No one ever showed up or called. The following Monday a guy showed up without calling and stayed 5 minutes. The carpet cleaner was very good and kind he stayed 30 min trying to clean up the mess. We needed to run fans and the A/C for days straight but the problem was never actually solved. I called bback to explain the problem and suggest that they pay for a hotel since this is not something covered under renters insurance. There was no damage to our property but the place is not for to stay in without a/c during the summer with a new born baby. The lady Katherine said I suggest you go and get a window unit for the baby room but we won't help you."
