"This “management company” is so terrible that the owner/manager had to leave a 5 star review that says “Best vacation management company in Navarre!“ just to try and get the company’s google review score up. Good try, Merle! Lol And after doing some investigating, it appears that Merle also had his friends leave positive reviews too. Pretty comical but sad. I stayed here and the place was disgusting! There were dirty dishes put away in the cabinets and sand in the sheets. I had to wash them because something told me that wasn’t done before I got there. Do yourself a favor and use one of the other hundred REAL vacation management company’s."

"Stay far away from this Starfish Vacations Rental Agency at Navarre Beach. We booked a vacation getaway and the area got hit really bad by the Hurricane. It knocked out the power, blew away the pier, and the Gazebo area where we would be grilling out. Not to mention the debris cleanup after a hurricane, businesses were closed,, and the condo building was flooded.. We made the mistake of booking this through VRBO and Merle Rhodes at Starfish Vacations. After we saw the destruction the Hurricane did at Navarre Beach on the news and online we called regarding The Palms Condo at 7453 Sunset Harbor Drive in Navarre to check up on the property. We spoke to Merle and he insisted that there was no damage to the property, that was a bold face lie. He again stated that they did not lose power, that also a lie. We even emailed another rental agency who had units in the same condo building and he confirmed that the pier was destroyed, the gazebo area was severely damaged, and they were not renting out their units at this time because it was unsafe. We told Merle that due to the aftermath of the hurricane that we were cancelling our vacation rental because of the damage and our safety. We asked to be refunded and he stated that he would not refund us because he was looking in the best interest of the Owner's, shameful! We tried to plead our case to get our hard earned money refunded and he became rude and hung up on Us. If you strive to deal with a Business that has no scruples ,this is the one for you! Do not use VRBO, use AirBnb."

"We rented the same condo for the past 5 winters on Navarre Beach. This past winter Merle went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and just like home. If we had any problems he was there immediately to correct the problem. I would not hesitate to use Starfish Vacations again, and would highly recommend. Thanks Merle for everything you did for me last winter. Hope to see you soon."

"DO NOT CHOOSE THEM!!!!!! Merle charged me a $100 fee for my service dog, which is illegal. He then kept our $500 deposit for no reason. Everything that was on the checkout list was done."
