"Rented a house for a little over 2 years from them during my divorce and was overall very pleased with their service. The house had a handfull of issues, both large and small, that were typically addressed within a very reasonable time frame. It was hit by lightning the week that we moved in, and partially flooded while we were out of town due to a broken pipe under the slab. We were given a $500 refund for the trouble that it caused us. We were uncertain of our exact move out date, as we were renovating the house we purchased. We were given a 1 month extension, followed by an additional 1 week extension. Those were decisions of the property owners, which are beyond the control of the property managers, but Southern Shores acted as the go-between to facilitate the extensions. We left the house as we had found it, and were given 100% of our deposit back to us. I would rent from them again in the future, can't say that of the 2 previous properties that I had rented during my divorce."

"I lived in Randy and Robin's property for almost 3 years until a tree fell through the house during Hurricane Sally. Randy and Robin handled the situation by forcing me and my child into homelessness and not providing additional housing, despite the tree being his fault because he refused to have it cut down. There was a roach infestation that took 2 years to get taken care of. Randy and Robin refused to give me my security deposit back until I had cleaned out my house, that had a tree through the middle of it. They are the rudest and most unprofessional people and their properties are disgusting. They are the result of capitalist idiocy in our realty system. Abolish landlords."

"I own multiple properties and Southern Shores Realty is my property management company. Robin is so professional, knowledgeable, and attentive with both myself and my renters. I have been using this company for rentals for five years and have nothing but great things to say."

"I've rented my house through this company for the last 7 years and they have been amazing! I switched to them after having the worse experience with another property management company in the area. They are very transparent and great communicating with me and keeping me up to date on things wth the house. They also have great relationships with repair people. It's been worry free since I'm out the area."

"Run Away!!!! Stay Away!!!! Do Not Trust Them!!!!!!!!!!! We told them when we rented the house that we planned to buy a house in about 18 months. No problem. We signed a 12 month lease. Everything was okay until the lease was almost up. We told them we planned to buy a house in about 6 months so asked to either extend the current lease or sign a 6 months lease. We were told we either had to "Sign The Lease Or Move Out!!!" And the lease had a penalty of 2 months rent for breaking it. But it didn't make sense to move out for 6 months either. Screwed either way I guess. Well, we just bought a house. 18 months after moving in, just like we planned. We went to a different realtor because of their attitude about the lease. We gave them 2 months notice and asked if our realtor could work with them to find a new rentor for the house so we could avoid at least part of the penalty. "NO!!!" Wow. We were told we will pay everything the law allows them to collect. What jerks. We would have used them to find our house, giving them the commission, if only they had been reasonable with us. And we are pretty sure that based on their reputation that our deposit is staying in their pockets also. But, we will still clean the house and to the right thing. Always do the right thing even when you are treated terribly. You know what they say about Karma:)"
