"Nothing really nearby - you need a car. The room was OK but mine had a huge gap under the door. This meant I could see light in the corridor, peoples feet and also hear the “ding” of the elevator every time someone used it. The shower was excellent, but very compact bathroom. Aircon was super noisy so I had to turn it off. But then woke due to heat. Pool area is nice but so much road noise and aircraft flight path. The bar area was good as was Mia’s Pantry. I can recommend the Philly cheese sliders. The is an M Club (which I didn’t know about prior). If you are platinum you can come in and there are various soft drinks and snacks, and breakfast. My main bugbear is I asked for my bill to be emailed. The check out staff read the correct email but I never got it. I now have credit card items with no way to reconcile. I contacted Marriott and it’s more than a week later. They sent me a bill with my name but someone else’s name and a different room. I have had 5+ interactions with support but still no resolution. The whole “discretionary 18% tip” plus extra tips is out of control! The staff are good for the most part. I would stay again for a night if in transit, but there isn’t much to do. The shuttle to airport is super efficient and there is an app to track it too."

"Arrived at 11 pm at MIA from Manaus, Brazil, by charter flight and were immediately bused to the Marriott. Our group was welcomed by the very competent staff and given our room keys right away. A delicious dinner buffet was available until 2 am. The room was very comfortable and had all the amenities. Breakfast buffet until 10:30 am was excellent. Shuttle back to the airport was a breeze. This Marriott has a bus leaving every 15 minutes. A very pleasant layover before returning home from this trip to the Caribbean and up the Amazon to its beginning at the "meeting of the waters.""

"Our first visit. We spent an overnight between flights. It was pretty good. Room was large. The bed was not very comfortable. We waited until almost time to leave to take a shower and discovered that the tub is very slippery. There was no rubber mat available and no time to look for one. Suggestion...if you stay here, ask for a mat well before showering. No grab bars either. We visited the bar downstairs where we had a couple of drinks. Nice selection of tequila, wine not so much. Prices are high as you would expect, plus they add 18% gratuity to the check, so watch for that. We visited Mia's Pantry and grabbed a turkey sandwich to take to the airport. It was tasty. Check sale date before buying to ensure you get a fresh sandwich."

"I arrived early and they were kind courteous and helpful. And let me know that my room wasn't ready. But they sent me to the m club or had some snacks and waited for my room to be ready. They came in the club and gave me my key. The room was fantastic. The people had a great smile in their face. Dodgeable and very helpful and completely understanding that I had been up on a long flight Simply put, best service."

"Dated airport property offers a free shuttle every 15 minutes to/from the airport. All staff I met were lovely and helpful. Rooms are spacious, but dated, and nothing is thoroughly cleaned. The sheets aren’t quite large enough for the beds, leaving the bottom half of the mattress showing. But the mattresses are very comfortable. The bathroom sink was quite dirty, and the counter around it quite dusty, but with a few splashes of water I was able to clean away most of the food stains. Shower heads are great- strong stream of hot water leaves one refreshed. The doors block no sound, so expect to hear conversations in nearby rooms as well as the slamming of every door in the corridor all night long. The club lounge is on the ground floor beside the restaurant and is well stocked with drinks and snacks. Food at the restaurant is expensive but of surprising quality. The shuttle drivers, especially the one working on Nov 11 at around 1600 are friendly, helpful, and seem like really good people. If you do stay here because your airline gave you a voucher, be sure the right class of airfare is highlighted on the voucher or you will not receive the benefits your airfare should entitle you."
