Dollar General

"Close this store. Nothing works, cash only, auto register doesn't work, and they can't use the other register that's not automatic because the manager doesn't want cash in the drawer because they could be robbed? & in the 1.5 yrs I've been shopping here almost daily that's never happened ..what part of taking care of the customer are they doing here and they've been working on this system for 6 months and every day you walk in here there's some kind of problem, literally every day, I'm not exaggerating.. This is beyond ridiculous. I am thru shopping at the store forever. I've never seen anything like this."

"I have been shopping at this Dollar General on Davis Hwy for awhile. Today, however, will be the last time I go to this particular store. I went in there this morning to find a specific item, took a yellow basket, and, began my search. Since I did not find it in the store, I went to look at the front of the store for this item. The employee was on the floor stocking some items on the shelf. She looked at me and said I needed to go to the self checkout. I informed her that I was just looking. Since I still did not find what I was looking for, I placed the yellow basket back and started toward the door. She stopped me and asked if I paid for my items. I told her that I did not have any items, and, she kept saying that I did have some items. I told her she could look in the yellow basket that I had just replaced to look that I did not have any items. She went to check, and, continued to glare at me. Now, I am 67 years old, have never shop lifted in my entire life, and, was so shocked, that I didn’t have anything to say, and, walked out of the store. I came home and called the district office about this issue, and, they were very apologetic, and, indicated that the GM would call me. (We will see if that happens). After I came home, I thought of all kinds of comments I could have said to her, but, was so shocked by the implication she was making, I just left. I wish I had asked for her name, but, unfortunately, I did not. However, if you went into this store on July 15th around 9:30 am, you would seen her since she was the only one working. This is the store close to Davis Animal Hospital."

"Always friendly, have your basics priced cheaper. Forget Family Dollar. Only reason their prices are low is because the sizes are smaller."

"I just had a procedure at West Florida Hospital. My mother and I stopped in here for a few things around 11am today. I never could see her name tag but an employee was rude to us not once but three times! The first time was when she began to tell me that no one seems to notice the sign she has on the cash register about how to complete your transactions. Then I had to go back in for something I had forgotten. As I walked up to the cash register she asked a woman standing back by the shelves several feet from the register if she could help her. She requested some cigarettes. The employee got them and came face to face with me at the register and rudely said, "I'll wait on you but you need to get in line." When I returned to the car my mother went in to use the restroom. One bathroom was out of order and the other one had the open partially open with the door stop. She entered the bathroom and thought it automatically locked, not seeing a lock anywhere. It obviously did not because this same employee burst through the door with my mother standing there pulling her pants up! She very rudely says, "You cannot just come in here and break in the bathroom!" My mother informed her the door was propped open and there were no signs saying to not use it. The employee states, "Wash your hands and get out." This attitude with the public is completely unacceptable and should be reprimanded in one way or another! I will not return to this Dollar General store!"

"Nice and clean facility... really nice and joking employees that are not dull and actually can put a smile on your face. Great job on cleanliness in the restrooms and cooling of the building. Aisles nice and neat where there was nothing to trip over and every aisle accessible. Pretty nice place to go and do a little quick shopping or walking around and browsing their many aisles. I personally love their clearance aisle myself."
